Tignale · 整套别墅 · 4室0床4.0卫 · 可住8人 · Villa with a breathtaking lake view in Tignale
Few properties live up to their name, but Villa Oliva certainly does. The Villa is nestled in a 4000 sqm olive grove with a marvelous view of Lake Garda. The house is the realization of a contemporary architectural project of the owner Andreas Karweger, well known for his international architectural conferences. The villa has 350 sqm of living space and consists of a spacious apartment on two floors and two independent apartments with connecting access to the main apartment. All three units consist of a kitchen, a bathroom, a bedroom and a living area each. The three apartments can accommodate eight people in total. Since all three units can also be accessed from the outside, the apartments are private but with the option of enjoying the large communal areas together. The villa however is only intended for one group to rent at a time: if the group is small, say up to 4 people, the small apartments are not rented out at the same time. This is to give all our guests the maximum privacy in the house and in the garden. The villa is bright, spacious and furnished in a contemporary style, but is also comfortable warm and welcoming. All rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows and offer stunning lake views from every aspect of the villa. The spacious entrance hall leads to the upper part of the house and to the main bedroom; a small apartment; and a gallery with a sofa and a comfortable leather lounger. On to the balcony there is a unique hanging lounger suspended from the ceiling for guests to relax whilst soaking in the view. The gallery stairs lead down to the communal kitchen, dining and living area, another bedroom and the wellness area. The villa was designed with great attention to detail. In particular the furnishings on the ground floor are exceptional: both the kitchen island and the seating area in the living room are unique to the property and were designed by the owner in collaboration with the manufacturers. Their shape is curved which opens into the space towards the large sliding glass doors that unfold into the living area towards the terrace and the lake.
The views from every aspect of the villa are breathtaking, panoramic, all encompassing. Huge windows everywhere. We loved our bedroom with the ensuite bathtub and rain shower. Downstairs the seating was relaxed and comfortable, but the piece de resistance for us were the evenings on the balcony enjoying a drink and looking at the moon, the mountains and the still lake with the Villa’s sound system playing as we swayed back and forth in the suspended lounger (a real piece of art).

The villa is located in a friendly hillside estate, almost 400 meters above the lake. Only a few meters from the property, a steep slope offers a breathtaking view down to the lake.
Above Tignale, the 17th-century Sanctuary of Montecastello sits enthroned in a breathtaking location 700 meters above the lake. Montecastello was built on a rocky outcrop that drops perpendicularly to the lake.
If you would like to spend time by the lake, the beaches of Porto Tignale and Gargnano are only a 10–15-minute drive away. In summer, a shuttle bus runs to Porto Tignale; the bus stop is a few meters from the villa.
Villages nearby are Gargnano, Salò & Limone:
Until the 1930s Gargnano was completely cut off as it was surrounded by mountains and could only be reached by boat. Because of its isolation Gargnano has maintained a special and unique charm. Gargnano is home to two Michelin-star restaurants: Villa Feltrinelli (photo) and Tartuga. There are other restaurants for visitors on a tighter budget situated on the waterfront with lakeside tables.
The old town of Salò with narrow streets, quaint colorful houses and small boutiques stretches behind the longest waterside promenade on Lake Garda. Part of the charm of both Gargnao and Salò is the absence of mass tourism and as a result they have retained a gentle unsophisticated way of life.
Limone is one of the most popular tourist resorts of the area.
Sports & Adventure:
For those who like to be active during their holiday, there are many opportunities for swimming, sailing, mountain biking, hiking and climbing in the immediate vicinity.
There are several “Via ferratas” above the lake that were constructed during World War I to bring troops into the mountains. Later, climbing aids in the form of ladders, steel cables and steps were installed so that even inexperienced mountaineers could access the difficult passages.
Lake Garda is an El Dorado for canyoning. Near Tignale there are canyoning tours of varying degrees of difficulty for both beginners and professionals. Canyoning on Lake Garda means pure adventure in the midst of a breathtaking natural setting (see photos).
Excursions to the other side of the Lake:
We would be happy to organize a boat trip for you to Punta San Vigilio located on the other side of the lake. Punta San Vigilio is one of the most popular travel destinations in Italy.
About 30 min. from San Vigilio: Madonna della Corona is perched 774 meters above sea level on a thin rock shelf. While many monasteries in Italy have been destroyed in various wars, the sanctuary has been spared the worse thanks to its relative inaccessibility.
Each summer the opera festival takes place in Verona. Fom 16 June to 9 Sep. 2023 the festival will celebrate its 100th aniversary. The 2023 anniversary program includes operas by Verdi, Bizet, Puccini and Rossini. We are happy to organise tickets for our guests.
