Overall the stay for us all was OK. I think the overall feeling towards the house was pretty "meh", as we had a bunch of issues in the house that were tough to overlook based on the amount of money we all spent to stay there. You can tell that the interior (and some parts of the exterior) of house has been ridden pretty hard over the years, which I suppose it's not that surprising given the size of the parties that continue to stay here. The interior was pretty worn down (broken ovens, freezers that wouldn't work, game room games that were pretty beat up, a heating system that decided to turn on during a hot summer day, ants in the kitchen, non-existent wifi, an incredibly slippery and dangerous pool area, etc). I would expect to put up with some of these issues if I was paying half of what we were paying. But for $25k/week in the summer, some of these issues are just a bitttt too much to swallow. We had 7 families with children ranging from 6 month -> 8 years old (25 people total). And the sleeping arrangements were pretty tight for all of us. For families with younger children (< 5 years) , they were forced to sleep in the same room as the kids. Reading the reviews, it made it seem like there were more bedrooms than there actually were (some lofted, some just inside the kitchen). Also, the listing mentioned a swingset/playground that is no longer on the property. Some of the positives that are worth mentioning: the yard is great for kids of all ages to enjoy, lots of parking, an incredible view of the cove from the porch, great location with easy access to a lot of what the towns of the midcoast.
