We really enjoyed our stay at Margie’s, it was a cozy home and we were very comfortable. The beds were especially special, with great linen and comfy mattress and pillows… it really felt like sleeping on a cloud. We also really appreciated the late checkout, especially after a big night at Avalon Castle which was literally next door - oh and all the little extras. Margie was always really prompt with communication and very friendly. We would highly recommend staying here and definitely would stay again.

Perfect spot if you have an Avalon Wedding. Our only concern, which was hampered by the rainfall, was the gradient and condition of the driveway. I left my little car at the wedding venue, with other overnight patrons, as it would not have made it up the driveway. My partners car has off-road features, and it was fine. It wasn’t in anyway a setback from our stay as we were between sites frequently, and the area felt extremely safe. Such a perfect little pocket of paradise. Absolutely the way to enjoy the wedding experience….. relax, ready yourselves and come ‘home’. The facilities, and little extras throughout the home were lovely….. you really have thought of everything. Margie answered every query within moments….and I could sense her warmth and consideration for others was authentic. Warmest regards for making our weekend extra special

What a beautiful part of the world. The place was clean, comfortable and private. The host clearly takes pride in providing visitors with the best experience possible. Small extras, such as welcoming treats, were greatly appreciated. The birdlife was a highlight.

Lovely sunny well appointed cottage. Surrounded by beautiful tall gum trees with lots of bird song. Watching the wild parrots feeding at the balcony was an added joy to our stay. Comfortable clean beds with good mattresses. A curl up comfy couch. The bathroom was very clean & had a rain shower with what seemed never ending hot water. This was lovely after a day of bush walking. Overall we had a lovely weekend getaway in Cockatoo.

Absolutely beautiful place! Stunning ❤️ We loved it! The birds are gorgeous, the kids had a great time feeding them with supplied seed! Very responsive, lovely person.! Even left the girls and I a bottle of bubbly and choccies for our last night before my wedding 🥰 Highly recommend!!!
