Sadly, we visited Dahlonega for a memorial so were not able to enjoy the local amenities fully. This cabin was everything we needed during our difficult time, we referred to it as "the sanctuary". It was clean, well stocked, full of things to keep the kids happy, had an excellent layout for two families to share, surrounded on all sides by magical, private forest, had a perfect hot tub where you could hear the babbling creek while soaking. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were meticulously cleaned, the kitchen was easy to cook in. Just a few notes to other renters: the place can be a bit hard to reach. It was rainy during our weekend so the roads were especially tricky as they are hilly, narrow and unpaved. There also isn't much signage so I'd be sure to arrive during daylight. Bring shampoo & conditioner (they are not provided) and extra towels for the hot tub. You don't need anything else, this home is well stocked on it all.

This is a beautiful home on a private lot with a creek running through the back. Lots of fun things to do at the house. WiFi does not work to stream things and the entire basement floor where master is located smelled strongly of urine. I was told nothing could be done about the odor until the cleaners got there when our trip ended and “hope that works out for you” regarding the smell. Pretty disappointing interaction which is unfortunate for such a beautiful home on an amazing lot. The smell was such a deterrent.

The stay was absolutely beautiful. We went for a book club retreat and truly enjoyed the stay.

We really enjoyed our stay! The house was comfortable, and we had fun playing pool at night and relaxing in the hot tub after our long hikes on the AT!

Such a beautiful house with everything you need! Our group had a wonderful weekend and would definitely stay here again.
