In a word...wow! Everything about this little slice of heaven on earth is perfect. The host has thought of everything and was very proactive and highly responsive to the questions that I had. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful, quiet, comfortable home away from home, nestled among the trees on a quiet street near downtown. I look forward to booking the cabin again whenever I visit my hometown of Marshall in the future.

Loved this historical little cabin. Beds were comfortable and loved its coziness. We love to bring things with us grill, lawn chairs etc. Caring our things 60 yards with stairs from the street was hard. Maybe a wagon to help would be nice.

Our stay was very enjoyable and relaxing. Loved the location of the cabin, set back deep on the lot in a beautiful neighborhood with lovely older homes. What a wonderful little gem in Marshall! The "main room" what was originally the only part of the one room house was amazing. I kept visualizing what it would have been like living in a one room house in the 1800s. The additions (kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and other sleep area) were done very well and the set up was very nice. Although the pictures DO reflect Christmas decor, I wasn't expecting it for our September visit. It was beautiful and well done, but would have enjoyed turning on the Christmas tree lights since it was set up. We can work in a tiny kitchen, but there was zero counter space. Not a deterrent, per say but just a few simple adjustments could have made it easier to prep meals. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back when in Marshall. We will be back as our son attends ETBU. Our host was very attentive!
