Maria’s home is a haven of beauty and art in the lovely quiet back streets of Coyoacan. We felt so safe and nurtured, waking to bird song and the most delicious breakfasts, lively conversations and help with navigating our first time in Mexico City. Her home is so peaceful, colorful and joyful. It feels very private and safe. We had so many wonderful adventures in the city and were always so happy to return home for a good rest. Gracias por todo, Maria!

So many great things to say about María and her beautiful home! My trip was a bit unique because I came a little unprepared with not much of an itinerary and was doing some travel just before arriving to María's place. From airport to her home was a breeze. The neighborhood is very cute and peaceful. Loved seeing the cobble stone and water fountain just outside. Great place to sit just for a moment and enjoy the shade. The bedroom that I stayed in was on the first floor and it was exactly what I needed! It was very comfortable and I had plenty of closet space for my belongings. The restroom was also very close by to the bedroom which I really appreciated. The rest of the home is absolutely charming! I loved María's dining area. Each morning she prepared breakfast for myself and the other guest. We had fresh fruits, yogurt, granola and then she would bring out a Mexican breakfast. So yummy! Also want to thank her for helping me navigate my tourist attractions. Muchas gracias, María! <3

I'm not sure anything I write here would do our stay at Maria's justice. In a nutshell: our stay was everything an Airbnb stay should be & more!! Highlights: -Flexible check-in. Maria greeted us and showed us around. We felt totally at home. You'll have access to all downstairs common areas -Small details were considered, including: safe-to-drink filtered water, toiletries including body lotion (!), a box of Kleenex, homemade welcome cookies, and a Dyson fan -Daily breakfasts! Maria is an excellent cook and we felt truly spoiled by the amazing breakfasts each morning-- most of which was made from scratch! -The bed is comfortable and clean. I had the best sleeps here! -Chatting with Maria about Mexican food, history, her involvement in the community, and her local recommendations -Both my bf and I were able to study/work in the dining room comfortably -The neighborhood (San Lucas) is very peaceful/quaint & is steps away from the centro of Coyoacán. There is a pharmacy a 5min walk away

Maria’s place felt like a sanctuary during my visit to Mexico City. Her house is beautiful- the room was so comfortable. Maria is a wonderful, hospitable host. We shared many laughs and enjoyable conversations. The breakfasts were incredible and she was very happy to cater for my dietary requirements. This truly felt like a home away from home. I could not recommend this place enough!! Muchos gracias, Maria!

Maria has the best taste, and is such a talented chef. You can’t find a better guide to Coyoacan. It was lovely to learn more about her neighborhood and Mexico from her. She’s a gem. And she has a cute, rambunctious dog name Poquita (please do not feed)!
