Thuy’s place was the perfect place in the lush rainforest that had stable power & wifi speed and access! I had my own private space (bed & bathroom / shower) with access to to a shared kitchen. I was the only renter so I had the place to myself. Thuy & Trevor were great hosts, welcoming, and made sure I had everything I needed! It’s an older Hawaiian style layout & set up, which gave it lots of character. Bed was super comfy! Shower pressure could be harder. I enjoyed the kitchen & patio area. Remember - you are in a tropical rainforests so expect rainforest things. I had to leave earlier than expected due to a tropical storm, and the hosts were very gracious and blessed me on my way! I would definitely rent the space out again with a crew of friends to share the space! Lots of aloha, good vibes & nature here! And so close to the cliffs & Pacific Ocean!! Mahalo nui loa & aloha, Thuy & Trevor! A hui hou!

It was a wonderful stay. I was staying during Merrie Monarch and since it's 25mins outside of Hilo, it wasn't the most suitable. But the facility is clean and there's everything in the kitchen. The goats and cat are all very friendly and it was such a relaxing place to stay. I thought there may be other people staying but perhaps there's only one room that's available for stay at this moment? I did not bump into anyone other than when the caretaker came to reboot the breaker. It is at the end of the road so there's no artificial sound. The down poor of rain might sound a bit loud at first but all that becomes comforting. Thank you so much for hosting!

Thuy was very helpful and responsive when we asked for additional hangers/bath towels or had questions about the Airbnb. What you see is what you get and it’s an affordable place to sleep. However, we asked for toilet paper twice and the host did not respond. The nights and early mornings tend to be cold and wet, so pack accordingly. If you plan to visit the beach, pack your own beach towel. If you’re a light sleeper, bring ear plugs because the coqui frogs sing all through the night.
