The home is truly exceptional by any standard. The eclectic art and furniture made the place unique and special. The layout and space was wonderful - even more considering it was a French home which are usually relatively small. What I would have liked to see in a exceptional home is a few things: beds had no sheets but thankfully the host came later that night and provided. A few extra simple thinks like dish towels so we can dry out dishes, more than the one trash bag (went out and bought some), more than the half used toilet paper available (went out and bought some). Beautiful bathrooms and showers but no hot water after the first night (out of three). All of these things put a small damper on things, but not enough to leave us with bad memories given the exceptional beauty of the home.

The location is good and the house is beautiful. However! Worst customer service via Airbnb. They were excessively slow at answering questions. They didn’t email the checkin instructions despite me emailing 48 hours in advance. I had to call and pay international fees to get someone to email check in instructions. When I asked for early check in they didn’t want to accommodate out of principle even if the house was not occupied. Once we checked in, they gave us the wrong wifi password. When we called, they still didn’t know what the password was until we found the box and figure it out ourselves ! We asked for a high chair and baby bed prior to check in and confirmed it was available inside the house but didn’t make them available. We had to look for it for an hour. And the high chair was never there. They sent someone to the house without informing us while we were away. All and all, they were not professional.
