Andreas' home is a great place to base yourself for a either a sitting still or driving tour of Switzerland. Great views across the lake to the mountains beyond set the scene for a classic Swiss day out. We ended up cooking dinner at home most nights, so I can't talk about the quality of the local restaurants. However, the kitchen is very neat, clean and easy to use. The beds and bathrooms were all clean and the house is warm for people from the tropics like us. Andreas was a very proactive and helpful host and we had no complaints whatsoever with our stay. We would be more than happy to stay here again.

Einfach nur toll! Schöne, gemütliche Wohnung mit unglaublichem Blick auf die Hügel, Berge und den See. Die Gegend ist sehr schön und ruhig und sie lädt sehr dazu ein, sie zu Fuss oder mit dem Mountainbike zu erkundigen. Oder einfach nur vom Sofa oder der Terasse hinausschauen. :-) Andreas war ein exzellenter Gastgeber, sehr aufmerksam, flexibel und super organisiert. Ich habe mich wie zuhause gefühlt und es hat mir an nichts gefehlt. Gerne wieder. Danke!

Hatte den Glück, bei Andreas Thanksgiving zu feiern mit meiner Mutter. Ich hätte mir keinen besseren Ort aussuchen können. Das Haus war so perfekt und gemütlich. Und die Aussicht war atemberaubend. Vielen Dank!

My partner and I were looking for a peaceful mountain retreat not far from Zürich. Andreas’ maisonette delivered on that beyond our expectations. From the comfort of the cozy living room armchairs, with the fireplace crackling in the background, we loved just looking at the mountain scenery outside. The place has a spa-like zen atmosphere, with its own sauna, hot tub, and mix of wood and granite as design elements. Another gem is the new Aegeribad, a stylish, modern public pool right on the lakeshore that comes with an outdoor heated pool and large upstairs wellness oasis. A really relaxing stay that was too short, so we are keen to repeat!

Andreas’ house felt like an eagle’s nest overlooking a beautiful lake. From the balcony, living room and master bedroom, we could see the snow capped peaks of the Urner Alps in the distance, between 2000 and 3000 meters high. The house is at around 800 meters elevation and surrounded by rolling hills, patches of forest, rivers and farms. We loved seeing local farmers sell their own produce right on the farm, from seasonal fruit, vegetables, juices, to cheese and meats. We found two such farms roughly a 10 minute walk away. The immediate neighborhood of the house is a cluster of luxury villas, on a cul-de-sac without any traffic. Our family loved hiking and mountain biking literally right from the house. Hiking about 10 minutes up the hill, you get to a gentle plateau of rolling hills that stretches all the way to the Ratenpass, where we ate very well. The kitchen in the house is very well equipped and includes an induction stove and two steamers. Perfect for preparing a nice dinner and relaxing after a day spent exploring. Communication with the owner was efficient, transparent and friendly. Thanks, Andreas! Looking forward to returning at the next opportunity.
