Welcome to Hillside House! This cottage in the Yorkshire Dales combines contemporary decor with modern amenities and gives an experience all can enjoy. - 4 bedrooms: 3 King bedrooms, 1 twin, double sofa bed - 3.5 bathrooms - Open plan kitchen/diner, fully equipped + nespresso machine - 2 spacious lounges with a wood burner - Separate snug - 75 inch TV & TV in every bedroom - Beautiful scenery and plentiful walking trails including to Aysgarth Falls in the Yorkshire Dales GROUND FLOOR: Two Lounges: Seating for 10+ with large smart TV and log burning stove. Snug: A double sofa bed and smart TV WC : WC with wash hand basin. Kitchen/diner: Light and modern kitchen with granite worktops. It is well equipped with electric double oven and induction hob, dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge/freezer, wine cooler, kettle, toaster, and Nespresso coffee machine. A contemporary table and chairs seats 10. FIRST FLOOR Bedroom 1 with Ensuite: A plush velvet king-size bed with woven wicker style bedside drawers, matching wardrobe, and dressing table. The ensuite has a walk in shower cubicle with rainfall head, marble washbasin, heated mirror and WC. Bedroom 2: A luxurious king-size bed with bedside tables and matching chest of drawers, hanging rail and smart TV. Bedroom 3: Two gorgeous velvet single beds with large wicker and wood style drawers, matching bedside drawers and smart TV. Family Bathroom: An elegant and spacious bathroom with walk in shower with rainfall head, free standing bath, wash hand basin, WC and heated mirror. SECOND FLOOR Bedroom 4 with separate WC with wash hand basin: The master bedroom with a plush velvet wrap around bed frame, bedside tables and matching double chest of drawers, armchair, with a contemporary freestanding bath in the corner of the room. OUTSIDE To the front of the property, you will find a lawned and paved area in which you can sit and enjoy the afternoon sunshine. To the rear, there is a small enclosed paved seating area which is accessible through the sliding glass doors from the kitchen. PETS We are very pet friendly! 2 well behaved dogs welcome. PARKING Gravelled parking area suitable for two cars. Free on street parking in the village or very close by to the property. HEATING Electric and underfloor heating throughout downstairs. SHORT BREAKS Accepted all year round. EXTRAS Towels are provided. No smoking at this property. Unlimited WiFi available free of charge. Mobile phone signal variable depending on network provider.

We had a lovely stay at Hillside House and would highly recommend to others. It’s looks just as good, if not better than the photos. The house was stunning with lots of amenities and in a great location. Ash and Shiv were great hosts and very responsive.

Stunning cottage which has been renovated to a very high standard. We felt right at home, the cottage was spacious, clean and tidy and very stylish. Hosts were very responsive and provided a very helpful guide with recommendations for the surrounding area. Would highly recommend

We have just got back from a lovely few days staying at Hillside House in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. This stunning property suited our family group of ten perfectly. It was beautifully appointed with high quality appliances and very chic decor throughout. (I now want to steal lots of style ideas for my own home. Think soft greens/pinks/golds.) The views from the rooms into green fields with lambs springing around were gorgeous and we loved being able to walk to the impressive Aysgarth Falls from our front door. The scenery is peaceful and beautiful. There are lots of places to eat nearby if you don’t want to cook and lots of places to visit. We enjoyed trips to Bolton Castle and Richmond and then liked coming back to the house to chill by the fire. Thanks to Ash for always responding quickly to any questions and also to enabling my parents to check in a little bit early. Would definitely recommend!

Really beautiful house in a quiet, scenic setting. The house is comfortably furnished and refurbished to a very high standard. We particularly enjoyed the huge sofas and the bath in the attic room, and loved the footpath to Aysgarth Falls about a minute from the front door. Ashmi was friendly and responded really quickly whenever we had questions. Worth being aware though that, if you're visiting in the colder months, the attic room and dining room get very cold (the attic en suite has no heating at all). It also hadn't been clear to us from the listing that the "enclosed garden" consists of two very small paved areas at the back, and a small patch of grass with no gate, so our dogs took a bit more managing than planned. Be aware of this if you're bringing yours!

Aysgarth village is a lovely rural spot situated within the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The famous Aysgarth Falls is just over a mile away and only a short 10 minute walk from the house, it is a beauty spot that has been on the tourist trail for over three hundred years. The river Ure hurls itself over three massive rocky steps, the Upper, Middle and Lower Falls. Alongside them is Freeholders’ Wood which is an ancient coppiced woodland. This local nature reserve has easy trails laid out for visitors. A few years ago, dormice were introduced into the wood and these delightful little creatures are now thriving here.
There are many walks from Aysgarth such as through the woods to Carperby, West Burton and Castle Bolton or why not take a riverside walk to Askrigg and Bainbridge. The popular market towns of Hawes and Leyburn each with their markets, quirky shops, tearooms and Dales’ pubs are a short drive away.
Wensleydale is also worth stopping by as its popular for its for its pub which serves a hearty lunch and dinner and also the popular tea rooms along with the Aysgarth Rockery which is a remarkable Edwardian garden are well worth a visit. This was saved from destruction by the National Park Authority who designated as a rather unusual Listed Building in 1988.
