We spent a lovely long weekend at Elena’s beautiful home. We loved the old house atmosphere. We particularly enjoyed the marvellous cooking of Sue . She preoared two beautiful dinners and breakfasts and a birthday cake too ! We recommend her strongly ! Lovely Chef x

Very charming historical place, it makes you feel like you’re staying in the museum. The gardens and fountains were very beautiful and a highlight of the stay. Didn’t use the pool as the weather was cold, but it had great views and would have been great had we visited during the summer. The wood stove and pellet stoves took a bit of work to keep heated but made the place seem more authentic. It was a bit tricky to find the right place to meet and be allowed in though so I would make sure to check with the host in detail as to which gate to meet them (gmaps takes you to a door a bit further up the road)

We stayed at Elenas house for 2.5 weeks with guests coming and going throughout our stay. Casa Milan was so much more than we expected. The house is very comfortable for a large group with plenty of spaces in the home and on the grounds for people to spread out and relax. The grounds are quite striking and kept up beautifully with a daily groundskeeper. Dining areas inside and out were large and comfortable for large groups. The pool was a main attraction and even though it was a bit chilly we all swam almost daily. We did have a day or two of plumbing issues but these were dealt with quickly. We had Sue come to cook for us several times and I would highly recommend her. She was flexible and open to requests re food allergies etc. Don't hesitate to book Elena's place. You won't regret it.
