Had a really great stay at Olivier's apartment in Lille. The room had everything I needed, as did the apartment in general with an open plan living space, well equipped kitchen and a nice powerful shower, and with some cool posters and art to give it a personal touch. It's located in a great neighbourhood - I enjoyed having a stroll round to the boulangerie in the morning and admiring some of the street design. It's very easy to get into the old centre of Lille by bike in less than 10 mins along a nice riverside path. Olivier was an excellent host, very friendly and welcoming. We had a great time chatting about all sorts of things including travel, Ireland, France, cycling, maroilles cheese and Le Welsh (worth a try when in Lille)! He went the extra mile to make sure I had a great trip and go to see the best side of the city. It is so nice to encounter the rare AirBnb hosts like Olivier who add a warm human touch as well as offering a fab place to stay!
