One of my favorite places to stay in Phnom Penh! Great apartment, great host, great location!

I stayed about one week. It's a good place in a convenient location but I had some significant problems. I will note the host refunded me one night for the trouble. The good parts: spacious apartment, very close to all the main attractions such as the royal palace, self-entrance at the front gate and apartment door. The bed was very comfortable. Good couch and kitchen table downstairs. The problems: the bathroom sink and shower were totally clogged when I arrived. I think this is something the cleaners should notice and fix before I arrive. The air conditioner upstairs stopped working twice, so I had to spend two of my afternoons with repairmen in the apartment, and had to sleep on the couch downstairs two nights. Even after it was fixed, the room temperature upstairs reaches 90 F / 32 C by mid day upstairs with the AC on full strength. The AC downstairs works well. Overall, I would only stay again if the upstairs AC is completely replaced and verified to keep the bedroom cool.

Jerome’s place is a spacious, two-level apartment in a great location in central Phnom Penh. Getting in and out is straightforward - though the staircases are very tight for those with large suitcases. Inside, the flat looks like the description, but I couldn’t sleep on the top level as the air conditioning was very old (as Jerome said himself) and the loudest I’d ever heard. Luckily the A/C on the bottom floor was much quieter and cooler - but I had to move the mattress down the stairs to get a comfortable night’s sleep. WiFi is OK but not really up to scratch if you’re remote working and want fast download / upload speeds. That said, fast WiFi in PP is rare! Bathroom is fine. The mirror could be higher - I had to crouch to use it! Jerome as a host is responsive but could have been more proactive with recommendations of places to see / eat. To sum up, decent value for the heart of Phnom Penh but not without issues.
