The cottage is part of a small family farm ran by a Dutch-SA Couple. Soutelande is based in the Sardinia Bay Beach Conservancy. It is a 2 min drive away to the best beach in PE (it is not within walking distance, we are however the last street to the beach). 10 min away from the Airport, 5 min away from the local shops, 45 min to Addo Elephant Park and only 1 min away to the nearest golf course. Rooms: Soutelande is ideal for 1-4 persons. The cottage has 2 bedrooms. We have a Camp cot available for the little ones. Room 1: Comfortable Queen bed (extra length) Room 2: 2 single beds, which we can convert into a king on request. All bedrooms have a beautiful view over the garden. Linen, towels and extra blankets are included. Office: On request, we can convert the second bedroom into an office. Includes an extra screen for more comfort. !!Only possible with a booking up to 3 guests!! Breakfast: Your stay includes a fresh farm-style breakfast basket with yoghurt, muesli, fresh fruit, slice of ciabatta, jams, cheese and eggs. Kitchen: The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen, including all the necessities to prepare a lavish dinner. Ingredients excluded ;-). We also have a firepit with grid if you would like to experience a South African braai (BBQ). You can order a local braai pack with us if you would like to. All basic ingredients in the kitchen can be used such as olive oil, pepper & salt, butter, coffee & tea, coffee milk, sugar and some extra small snacks. Note that the kitchen doesn’t have an oven. Outside: The cottage has a private balcony with a lounge set, the perfect spot to enjoy your first morning coffee. It also comes with a patio covered by the shade of the old tree which includes dining table/seats, bench and hammock. Come and help us feed the chickens in the morning or go to the donkeys for a cuddle. Kindly note that our chickens roam freely and that they can make a noise around the cottage. We will keep our dog Jaap in the private area. The donkeys have their own paddock. We are situated in a conservancy and some harmless little wild creatures may enter the farm such as peacocks, mongoose and vervet monkeys. The balcony is fenced off and secured, it is the guests responsibility to look after themselves and their children's safety on the balcony and on the property. Please note that we are not linked to municipal water and that our cottage depends on our rainwater tanks.
