We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. Had good privacy and peaceful surroundings. The private hot tub was great. Was a bit cold when we entered the cabin, but the heaters helped. The host was responsive to texts and answered the call regarding heating of the unit. Overall, a great, relaxing weekend getaway.

We did not fell safe in or outside house and I did not believe my vehicle was in a safe place Issues we experienced: To get in house you pass through two substantial metal wrought iron doors both secured with padlocks, non break away bars on all windows. Apparently this level of deterrence is required to secure house. If you padlock yourself in for security reasons and a fire occurs particularly at night, then trying to find the right key to unlock a padlock would be potentially lethal. Non of this was adequately or accurately disclosed in property description. My wife and I were approached by a man getting very close until I advanced towards him to a point of physical contact he then walked away. I ran off people in a car who were surveilling my vehicle. These issues occurred 2 hours into a 3 day stay. We thought this is a unsafe and scary place we packed up and left. Our safety was more important than our potential loss of payment for lodging.

Wonderfully restored historic Adobe filled with eclectic art, antiques and period pieces including custom carved door made by artist/owner Kata Bennett. Beautiful mural on side of building, nice enclosed patio and hot tub. Large space with several sitting areas, 2 beds, spacious kitchen with wrap around wood counter plus a dining table. Great central jumping off location for visiting Santa Fe, Taos and Ghost Ranch in Abiquiu. We really enjoyed our stay and meeting and talking with Kata about all of her restoration projects in Espanola. We hope to visit again.
