Nice home, with great beds! House appears a little older and darker in real life than pictures! Great communication with Backroads! There was no shampoo or conditioner when we came, and it’s pretty far to a grocery store! Backroads came within an our after I wrote and hang a bag on the door with both! Great service! Thank you for a good stay!
The location was perfect for us. Close to Bandera, Boerne, Fredericksburg, etc. Would love to come back in the summer and spend time down by the river. Would definitely stay again.
We loved this place and will definitely be back! The house was so comfortable, the wildlife was fun to watch, the river was low, but still beautiful. We traveled around the hill country while there and enjoyed seeing Comfort, Boerne, New Braunfels. It was the perfect place to vacation! The hosts were very accommodating and responsive. Bed was super comfy. Such a fun time!
Beautiful stay! We loved the secluded area with a fenced in front yard for the pups. The house was perfect for our family of 5 - The beds were comfy and the sleeping arrangements fit our family great. The canyon was gorgeous!! The water was beautiful and clear until you stepped in it. There was black that came up from the bottom and it stunk- we were told the water was lower than the pics, which was definitely true. Unfortunately, we paid this price so that we could at least cool off in the water, but we only went down there one time because of the smell- the dogs LOVED playing in the water, but they definitely had to be bathed after. If you just want beauty, this is perfect :) We just wanted to be able to cool off a bit, but that was not doable. Overall, wonderful stay~
My husband and I, along with two furbabies, had a WONDERFUL time staying at Backroads. The place was absolutely gorgeous and accommodated everything that we were looking for. The river, though a bit of a trek, and we were made aware - was lovely! The dogs had an absolute blast playing in the water and having a grand time. If you are looking for a place that is peaceful, secluded, and where you have the run of the place - look no more! We felt right at home!
