The house was perfect. Unfortunately, we didn't spend as much time at the house as we would have liked as we were there volunteering our time at a local construction project. The house was very clean and we had everything we needed and then some. It was a beautiful location. We even saw a bald eagle in the backyard. The snacks in the basement were a nice surprise for the "kids". One thing that I always look for are clean showers and these were definitely clean to my standards, and I have high standards. We hope to come back again! Highly recommended!!!

We had a father-son weekend here, and it worked out perfectly. We enjoyed the pool/ping-pong table and made use of the grill. The view of of the pond was beautiful, and we would love to return in the summer to make use of the kayaks and pool. The home was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was spacious and well-equipped.

Robert was a fantastic host! This home is a gem. We went over Christmas for a short getaway and it was quiet, peaceful, pristine, and well worth the expense. I would highly recommend this property for a small family or for a couple as a retreat. Will consider coming back in the summer to take advantage of the pool and pond. Downtown Dowagiac is like walking back in time. It's safe, has a great small town feel, and is loaded with great establishments. The Strand, Woodfire, The Wounded Minnow, and Oak & Ash are all fantastic places to grab a bite to eat or a drink. Woodfire is a must-eat restaurant! Their menu, the atmosphere, and their service was out of this world. A great place overall!
