Welcome to a private escape, where architectural design meets the tranquility of nature. On 13 acres of bushland, enjoy a unique blend of luxury, comfort, & lagoon views. A haven, minutes from Sirromet winery and cafes, it is an ideal retreat for wine & nature lovers. Be captivated by the modern charm, featuring a plush queen-sized bed. Wake up to soft sounds of nature & sunlight filtering through trees. Indulge by soaking in a large bath set in a garden courtyard as you soak away stresses. :) The Cottage The Lilypad is on our acreage property that includes three dams, mowed paddocks and a few acres of natural bushland. The cottage is a separate dwelling from the house and sits at the back of the main house, facing the opposite direction allowing privacy for guests during their stay. This fitout was completed in 2023 so everything is fresh and new and high end. The stone bath is located in an outdoor courtyard with operable vertical louvres allowing views to the bush and lawns and wildlife while still providing privacy for guests. There is a spacious undercover back deck overlooking the lagoon equipped with a family size Webber BBQ, Daybed and dining setting. The Location Guests are free to walk around the property and enjoy the wildlife, including a large community of wallabies. Although our entrance is on a main road, our buildings are set back from the road about 450 metres and face the bush so you feel like you are in the country. Our local supermarket and cafes are a short walk from the property so you still have all the conveniences close by. The Fit out and Furnishings The cottage oozes luxury with designer wall lights, quality linens, furnishings and toiletries from well known high end brands such as Sheridan, Microcloud, Adairs, Freedom, Trit House, Al.IVE and L'Occitane. There is a 55" smart TV that allows guests to login to all their subscribed apps and channels. Free fast Wifi is available. Cooking facilities include two induction hotplates, a microwave and a Webber BBQ on the back deck. A bar fridge with separate freezer and crisper drawer is in the kitchen along with well equipped cooking utensils and pans.

Do yourself a kind gesture and just book it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Where do I even start… The Lilypad was even better than the photos. From driving up the driveway surrounded by wallabies, ducks and ponds and then park the car and open the front door and all of your stresses just roll off like a second skin. I came for a solo mum retreat to unwind and get away, it was the best decision I ever made. Everything is clean and minimalistic but so warm and inviting. There were multiple comfy sitting spaces to enjoy. The kitchen has everything you need. The bathroom is so serene, and calm. There really was nothing that they didn’t already think of. Tracey was descriptive and super helpful. Looking out at the pond and just the expanse of the land itself was mind blowing. I wanted to cry when I left. It was such a unique experience and better than any 5 star hotel I’ve stayed in. Thank you for having me and as already discussed, I cannot wait to bring my husband back for another getaway.
The most perfect stay. Do not hesitate and book now for at least 3 nights if you can. The attention to detail is outstanding. An amazing and friendly host, making us feel super welcome. This stay is a beautiful relaxing home submerged in nature and wildlife. We knew from previous reviews and photos we were in for a great stay, but we did not expect to be captured by this outstanding home. Totally rejuvenated after our stay. Nights stargazing by the camp fire and mornings on the deck with a cappuccino watching wallabies and birds. Our only regret is not booking a longer 3+ stay.

Mount Cotton is a village in the Redlands Coast, 35 minutes drive from Brisbane CBD and surrounded by native bushland. With large green acreages, chicken farms and cattle properties, it is picturesque and rural. Sirromet winery and the Day on The Green concerts have put the area on the map, along with close proximity to the Islands in Moreton Bay.
The Mt Cotton Village ( 1.4 KM away) has a variety of food stores and casual eateries. The Super IGA store boasts a cheese room, butcher, seafood and delicatessen. Very popular is the Sourdough bakery that serves Merlo coffee and The Grove Kitchen and bar that serves breakfast and lunch. Casual eateries offer the choice of pizza, pies, pasta, noodles, smoked BBQ meats and burgers.
Close by Redlands suburbs boast waterside cafes and restaurants to enjoy as well as walking tracks, horse and mountain biking trails. Located only 30 minutes to Theme Parks and a bit further to the Gold Coast, it is an ideal location to enjoy all that South East Queensland has to offer. If you are after a weekend get away, we are the perfect spot to head off for a day trip to Stradbroke Island or a water taxi ride to Coochiemudlo Island in Moreton Bay.
Private vehicle is the most effective form of transport in our rural area. Buses, ubers and taxis are available for those without their own transport. The closest train stations are Loganlea and Cleveland which run regular services to the cities of Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Major bus stations are at Loganholme and Capalaba with bus stops in walking distance fir local services. There are private charter services available for airport transfers and day tours.
