This place was absolutely amazing! My family and I had a great time! Kathy went above and beyond making sure we were comfortable. I would definitely recommend staying here or even hosting an event.

This property is an incredibly perfect and serene setting for celebrations, family reunions, weddings and retreats. It is beautiful inside and out with fantastic flexible spaces and lots to do for everyone in your family. Everyone who joined us were so impressed by the personal touches and how this is such a hidden gem! It's a must see and you will be so happy you stayed there. Kathy is a phenominal host and was so helpful to make our birthday weekend perfect!

We came to Texas for the total eclipse and wanted a place that multiple family members could come to and have a great time. The Tipsy Toad Resort was perfect for us. Kathy, the host, had great communication before and during the stay. There were 7 sleeping bedrooms which was the key for us, each equipped with bedding, towels, Keurig machine & coffee pods. The outdoor kitchen is amazing! It was a great central location for us all to gather throughout the stay. There are multiple different grills and smokers available for use and all stocked with the necessary & appropriate fuel. The pool & hot tub was the regular oasis for relaxation and play. The pond was also wonderful with paddleboards, paddleboats and kayaks to use as well as the high dive dock for swimming or fishing. At night there were I think 3 different fire pits (all equipped with loads of wood) to enjoy the evenings. Would definitely consider for a large gathering in the North Texas area.

Kathy’s place is beautiful. A group of us stayed there for a retreat for 4 days, and loved every minute of it. The Loft and each of the Cabanas was super comfortable, beautifully decorated, and equipped with the best. A full kitchen in the Loft, and a most amazing outdoor kitchen by the pool. It was lovely to see all the farm animals- Kathy’s barn is spotless! We can’t say enough good things about Kathy. She was very responsive to any question we had, and made us feel very welcome. We hope to be back next year!

Tipsy Toad Retreat was everything my Husband & I could have asked for on our wedding weekend. Our ceremony was in the cabana with a gorgeous view overlooking the pond and our reception was in their new Frog Pen. We extended the wedding into the night with live music, a photo booth and really utilized the outdoor kitchen. Our guests were NEVER bored, with jumping off the high dive, kayaking, swimming in the pool and just enjoying the scenery. My Husband & I would love to come back here and many of our friends & family were interested in renting out the whole place for a future event because of how amazing the deal and space is. If you already plan on spending money on your wedding venue for a couple of hours you might as well book Tipsy Toad Retreat for a similar price for the entire weekend with rooms for your guests and yourself.
