Nice apartment - clean with comfy beds/pillows and nice kitchen and dining room. It is walkable to downtown Hannibal, although the bridge you have to cross doesn't have much of a sidewalk and can seem unsafe. The area of this place also seems run down/unsafe but we did not have any issues and the place is modern and nice once you make it inside. The stairs to the apartment are VERY steep - I would not suggest for an older guest; Our friend in crutches did not make the climb. Great for a young couple. There is no ice so make sure to bring your own.

Expect the unexpected, and then lower your expectations! First off, the place is filthy beyond even the lowest of standards. Ants and animal fur were on full display at this not so charming Airbnb location. We actually had to wash all dishes and sheets we planned on using as they were visibly dirty w/crumbs, stains, blood and much more! Nestled in a run down pocket of town, it is clear why they do not show the view of lovers leap mentioned in the description. Pics look okay, but up close it’s a disaster... travelers beware! Wouldn’t stay here again, even if it were free, heck... even if they paid me I wouldn’t stay here. It’s hard to put into words just how dilapidated the outside was, complete with chipping lead paint and more raccoons and spiders than one can count. A/c does not cool house and is as loud as a freight train, thermostat read 75 at its lowest and the unit was thoroughly insufficient to cool the apartment. Internet was down over 1/3 of the time we were there despite host claiming the contrary (w/o checking for themselves) Host was very rude and condescending and in no way attempted to rectify any of the numerous issues we had during our stay. Honestly, I don’t know how this place even passed occupancy inspection. It was a disaster. I am unsure which was worse, the property we stayed at or the host we rented from.... steer clear of this one! Also I believe they own multiple Airbnb properties in Hannible so proceed w/caution if you plan on booking w/ Airbnb. My best advice: if you are staying in Hannible, go to the local hotel. At least the host/management there will have a contract and standards they have to honor.

John's home is cute and perfect for a stay in Hannibal. My friends and I enjoyed his house and the town. The space is new and super clean. The neighbor is quaint, quiet, and within walking distance to downtown Hannibal (1/2 mile-ish).

If you are looking for a place to stay during your Hannibal visit, I would highly recommend this place.

John’s place was perfect for us! I was pleasantly surprised at all the extra touches. The outside is a bit misleading but for the area not surprising. Do not let that deter you. The view from the kitchen to the woodsy scenic area was a nice thing to wake up to. It had everything we needed for a weekend stay. We would stay again!!!
