We had a truly amazing week at Craigroan Cottage. It is the perfect accommodation for a break, especially with dogs, due to the spacious and secure garden. The access to the field behind the property was an added bonus. The views from the property are breathtaking and the beach, coastal works are on your doorstep. The well equipped cottage is the perfect base to explore south-west Scotland. Hilary was a superb host, provided local recommendations and has thought of everything to make our stay extra special. Majestic views, spectacular star gazing opportunities, peaceful and relaxing.

It is a fabulous location with plenty walks around. Felt at home straight away. Everything there that you would need and a lovely welcome hamper, very thoughtful. We stayed Christmas week and a tree and lights were provided. The enclosed gardens and field a plus with dogs. Would definitely use again if in area

Wonderful location, sunsets, wildlife, coastal walks straight from the door. Hilary has thought of everything with really practical extras to make this a wonderful home from home in every room, plus extras to make the most of the surroundings - binoculars, telescope, things for the children and dogs! Dog friendly with brilliant outdoor shower with warm water to get cleaned up after the adventures. Private, enclosed garden with great views and access to a field. After an evening walk great to come back to the cottage with the solar lighting twinkling. Great space in the kitchen with all your need. Comfy bed, very quiet at night. Lovely to relax in the sun lounge, strong wifi, smart tv with Netflix and a great view especially at sunset. Thank you for a lovely relaxing week.

We've stayed in Rockcliffe and Sandyhills many times, this was our first time at Craigroan. Great location, peaceful setting with easy access to lovely walks, enclosed garden and access to the shared field ideal for our elderly but still inquisitive dog who enjoyed the treats in her welcome pack. The people welcome pack was lovely - very thoughtful and much appreciated. Conservatory was lovely and warm in the sun and allowed good opportunities to watch the wildlife. Beds were comfy and setting very quiet so a good night's sleep was assured. As tea/coffee drinkers we could have done with a few more mugs to allow us to fill the dishwasher completely before having to put it on.
