We stayed at Clarisse's and Jean Christian's for two months November / December. Super responsive hosts, very accommodating, and super nice place. When we booked, Clarisse made sure we were aware of all the details before confirming the booking. The house worked for us, felt super familiar straight away, had a huge garden for our young children, and had everything you need and more. Loads of places to braai, to catch the sun as it moves from one side of the house to the other. The added plus is solar and inverters, which meant load shedding is a thing of the past! The area is super safe, with the house occupying some of the best views in Durbanville. Valmary Park is right next to Durbanville, where you have access to amazing wine farms, and the convenience of Durbanville village square for Woolworths, P&P, Chequers and The Boer and Butcher (great place for meat). Loads of local restaurants and easy access to Cape Town. We were really sad that we had to check out!

This home is an impeccably example of mid century modern architecture which the owners are restoring very sensitively. Interiors are beautifully curated as photographed. We needed a long term stay to write exams for three weeks and this was the ideal home away from home. Clarisse and Jean are thoughtful, responsive and attentive hosts and Elizabeth, their house keeper, is a treasure Thank you for your hospitality.
