We enjoyed staying in the Coal Scuttle for 5 nights. The location is quiet and peaceful on the edge of woods. It's also a good base for exploring west Cornwall. I liked having our own patio and an undercover area for boots and coats. Definitely recommend it.

Geoff and Julia were amazing hosts. The cottage is cozy, comfortable, well kept and nicely decorated. the location looks taken from a fairy tale, as it is in the middle of a park, surrounded by a forest. Geoff and Julia were very friendly, helpful, and approachable. they made sure we had everything we needed. we will definitely be coming back!

Really enjoyable stay. Location was in beautiful grounds and so peaceful. The room was spotless, well laid out and there was a nice outside area to sit, all exactly what I needed. It was also only a short drive for the areas I wanted to visit. The hosts are extremely friendly & so helpful. Would definitely visit again.

Perfect location for me. So peaceful and quiet. Geoffrey was a great host who met me on the driveway. Accommodation was spotless as described. If free I will certainly be using The Coal Shuttle again.

Lovely stay - the room was great and we have some tea making facilities, a fridge and a toaster which was good. Lovely location, a car is definitely needed to get around.
