Somewhere Nowhere is a place to search and find - an oasis *with an in-ground pool and hot tub,* 4 bedrooms (2 kings, 2 queens). We're 10 min from Pappy+ Harriet's, 5 minutes from downtown shops, and an easy drive to JTNP. This is a place to relax and enjoy the slow pace of the desert. Cool off in the pool after hiking, birdwatch, lookout for our "resident" Cottontail rabbit family, or star gaze from our hot tub. This is not a party home. The location is perfect for viewing sunrise on the porch and sunset from the back patio. Our property is backed into a hill of empty lots so many animals (songbirds, rabbits, squirrels, owls etc.) make their way through and around the property. Hang out on the patio and you'll easily spot several throughout the day. Our hope is that you enjoy every part of your stay; from making local coffee by drip in the morning, pulling an espresso in the afternoon, choosing the perfect record to put on as the sun sets, or by relaxing in the hot tub or pool. We poured our hearts and soul into building a beautiful, functional space to relax and reset with friends and family. Though we are backed into a hill with multiple empty lots, we still have neighbors nearby. Please be respectful of our lovely neighbors. Per local regulations, sound and lights need to be kept to a minimum after 10pm. A sunrise coffee or sunset wine from the patio is our favorite spot to unwind and reflect while watching the rabbits, birds, and other desert animals in our backyard. Stargaze from the outdoor "daybed" at night. Use the Sky Guide app, red flashlight, and telescope to identify the stars and planets. In the warmer months, our in-ground pool and shaded patio out back are perfect spots to relax and cool off after a day of hiking. We can recommend local sound bath and meditation experiences. If you want to stay in, DIY a sound bath, yoga, and meditation from the concrete pad next to the pool. We have aircon and heating to keep you comfortable. Please use the Nest device in the main hallway to adjust the temperature. With rising utility cost, we'd appreciate if you can turn off lighting and heating when you're out exploring. 6+ GUESTS After 2 guests, there is an extra fee of $20/guest/night. The pricing will be reflected automatically if you input the correct number of guests before booking. The number of guests can also be changed after booking and will be charged via the platform accordingly. POOL & HOT TUB The hot tub and pool cleaning crew comes twice a week, usually on Monday and Thursday. Most listings get serviced once a week but we've opted for twice a week to optimize your experience. Please let them do their jobs as it is for your benefit. Each visit usually takes 30 minutes. Swim at your own risk. Any children and adults who don’t know how to swim must be supervised at all times, and guests bringing children must agree to a pool liability waiver. An additional alarm will be installed if you bring children - please inform us in advance so we can prepare for your arrival. If you're visiting from spring to late fall, the pool is perfect for day time and early evening use without heating. Pool heating can be provided at an extra charge to cover extra propane costs: $185/day (November - March), $125/day (April-May), $85/day (JuneSeptember). Must heat for a minimum of two nights. The propane company charges $19.64/hr to heat to the pool and it is heated to approximately 80 degrees. Please notify us at least 24 hrs in advance. We chose to have a UV pool, which means a minimal amount of chlorine is used to complement the UV light rays, which target many bacteria that chlorine alone cannot. HOT TUB Please rinse off before and after getting into the hot tub. Leftover lotion, shampoo, and detergent will damage the equipment. Do not add bath bombs, bubble bath, or other unauthorized additive to the hot tub please. Any signs of additive will result in an extra cleaning fee of $75. Hot tub chemicals are checked and balanced in between each stay. Guest agrees to release, indemnify, hold harmless and forever discharge Host and Host's employees, agents, successors and assigns from any and all claims, liabilities or causes of action of any kind that guest, members of guest's household or guest's guests or invitees may have at any time against Host or Host's agents resulting from guest's use of the pool and spa. FIRE PIT We have a low-smoke wood-burning fire pit perfect for roasting s’mores year-round. Please do not build a campfire outside of the “Hotshot” pit and MAKE SURE the ember catcher is placed on top to curb loose embers. Fires in the desert are very common. Please be extra cautious to prevent wildfires. Please supervise and cut out the fire before leaving the backyard. A second fire extinguisher is available in the open shack near the swings. Wood is not provided. PET We are a pet friendly home but they must be house-trained and stay off of all cloth furniture (no pet on the white or pink chair please). There is an extra charge of $75 - please put in the listing request that you will be bringing a pet. We've had cleanings where the team spent 2 hours cleaning dog hairs alone. Please inform us in advance so that our team can prepare. We ask that you please pick up after them and don’t allow them to chew on the furniture. Please do not leave your pet unsupervised. CAMERA We have three cameras at the front of the house: 1)A Ring camera next to the door and facing the street, 2) a camera pointing at the driveway, 3) a camera facing the porch and placed on the right side of the outside of the garage. Nothing looks into private spaces and the cameras are used for yours and the property's safety and are always on. UNXPECTED INCIDENTS/DAMAGE Accidents happen. If anything gets broken, please reach out to us immediately so we can address the need during your stay or fix it for the next guests.
