Alpe Devero - More than Just a Mountain Destination:
Alpe Devero transcends being a mere mountain destination. It is a protected natural heritage, where the fragile beauty of the environment takes center stage. Here, every step is a declaration of love for nature. This is why access for private vehicles is strictly limited. However, the house is just a flat 7-minute walk from the parking area.
Paid Parking and Vehicle Access Restriction:
Please note that parking is subject to a fee, and you can drive your car up to the top of the second barrier, where the pedestrian zone begins.
HOW TO REACH US?
Alpe Devero is located in the far north of Piedmont, in the province of Verbania-Cusio Ossola. The plain can be reached via a municipal road that starts from Baceno and ends just outside the Alpe. Access to the plain is only permitted on foot.
Alpe Devero can be reached from the south by following the A26 Volti-Gravellona Toce motorway up to Gravellona. Then continue following the Sempione state road 36, passing Domodossola, until the exit for Crodo. Exit the state road, following signs for Baceno/Val Formazza, and once in the center of Baceno take the municipal road (7km) that goes up to Devero.
From Switzerland, Alpe Devero can be reached via Domodossola from the Sempione Pass or from the Canton of Ticino via the Centovalli. Alpe Devero is 150 km from Milan, 250 km from Genoa, 200 km from Turin, 75 km from Brig, 280 from Geneva.
The international railway station of Domodossola allows you to easily reach the Ossola Valley by train.
On the Milan-Geneva line, Domodossola is served by Eurostar and Intercity which leave every hour from Milan Centrale and the Swiss stations. From the Canton of Ticino the Centovalli railway connects Locarno to Domodossola. Direct trains connect Domodossola to Novara.
Once you arrive in Domodossola it is possible to use scheduled buses up to Baceno, then a shuttle that from Baceno takes you directly to the Alpe Devero car park with 5 trips per day.
Alpe Devero is located 90 km from the international hub of Milan Malpensa, connected with direct flights to all the most important Italian, European and world cities. From Malpensa in just over an hour's journey, by car or train, you can reach Alpe Devero.

Parking your car in the paid silo at the second barrier before the start of the pedestrian zone, walking to the house (a 7-minute walk), or requesting transportation from the host (only available by reservation and at an additional cost).
