A quirky converted Hayloft within the Roses Bower group of properties. Set in spacious private grounds with plenty of grass areas for kids to run wild and for adults to relax and enjoy the Scandi Hot tub and views. Sleeping 6-8 over four bedrooms. The Hayloft offers flexible space for family and friends groups to gather and celebrate. Ground Floor: Large fully equipped kitchen and dining area with seating for 8 Shower room, and super king or twin bedroom lead off kitchen area. Hallway leads to further "Hayloft" bedroom with king bed on the floor. This bedroom is accessed but a steep ladder style staircase and has restricted headroom so is therefore suitable for children or adults who would be comfortable with this. A further king bedroom is found off this hallway before the living space where you will find sofas, tv's and doors leading to the grounds and hot tub patio area. There is also a shower room off this living space. Spiral staircase leads to forth bedroom with king bed and freestanding bath. The Hayloft can be hired alongside The Drum Barn and Woodworkers Cottage to create accommodation for up to 20. One well behaved dog is very welcome The Drum Barn can be hired alongside Hayloft and Woodworkers Cottage to create accommodation for up to 20. The newly built Treehouse at Roses Bower can be hired along side any of the Roses Bower properties, Drum Barn, Hayloft and The Old Woodworkers Cottage to provide accommdation for up to 22 geusts. Very comfortable cosy cottage.The only problem we had was the hot tub was only able to use once even though we bought more wood. Perfect for dogs plenty of space for running around.
We came for 3 nights and absolutely loved our stay and would recommend it to families/groups of friends. The location is beautiful and surroundings really peaceful, and the owners are very friendly and helpful. However, there were a few things that I think the cottage could improve on which would make the value for money feel a lot higher. For example, the kitchen is pretty poorly stocked (lack of chopping boards, large bowls, sharp knives, corkscrew, etc) and had very few cleaning supplies provided (no washing up liquid, sponge, sweeping brush). There was also a lack of basic amenities like toilet paper and it’s far from any shops. We brought our own wood for the hot tub and we burned through it all and didn’t manage to even get it warm, so would recommend bringing 4+ bags for a 3 day stay. It would be great if hosts could provide more. Lastly, there was a bad smell in one of the bathrooms but the owner dealt with it really promptly.
Lovely place to stay, very spacious! Hosts very quick to reply to messages! The house was clean and tidy and exactly how the pictures had looked. During our stay had one issue we needed to contact hosts about, they replied within 5 minutes and offered a solution to the problem!
Perfect place for spending quality time with family and friends. It’s equipped with everything you need. Warm and cozy. We had a great stay!
We had a fantastic time at the Hayloft. We had three generations of family there and the space was excellent for everyone. The Adults enjoyed the warm cosy kitchen and the kids loved the loft,hot tub and the paddock. Hosts were great with communication and the location was great for exploring Northumberland. Great value and we are already looking at booking again as there is still lots to see and do in the area. Would definitely recommend.
