Akeley · 整套出租单元 · 2室5床1.0卫 · 可住8人 · Castle Tower with a View
Perched on top of a hill, this 2nd and 3rd floor attached apartment (800 sq ft total) promises serenity, wildlife, and sunrise views. Apartment offers a private drive, spacious parking/unloading, a 2nd floor secondary entrance, a full kitchen, and 2nd floor balcony overlooking the courtyard and back acreage. Connected directly to the Round River Drive ATV trail, and only a short drive to the Nevis Wilder snow mobile trail, public Eleventh Crow Wing lake/fishing pier, and Heartland State Trail. Please read - accessibility note: The entrance into our home is on the 2nd floor with a full set of external wooden stairs leading up to it. There is also another set of stairs inside the apartment to access the 3rd floor where the bedrooms and bathroom are located. Welcome to our secluded castle tower! Tucked among the Red Pines, Northern White Cedars, mature Oaks, and Norway Spruce, our home invites all types of wildlife to its door. We see deer, turkeys, eagles, ducks, geese, and many types of butterflies/bees/lightning bugs/insect friends daily. We also hear Loons, owls, and often coyote from the woods. Our home: While not a true castle, the creators of this unique home were very skilled artists who modeled the home after the renaissance era. They included a stone exterior, weathervanes, fleur de lis' throughout, and an English garden in front. We occupy the main house year-round along with our furry companions, but give our guests complete privacy throughout their stay. This is achieved with a private drive and a separate entrance into the studio and apartment that is separate from the house. Your apartment (800 sq ft total): A much more modern addition, the second and third floor apartment located to the northeast of the home, has hand painted countertops displaying a birch forest transitioning through the seasons and a beautiful vintage window overlooking forest and prairie, with gorgeous views of the sunrise and stars. There is also an east-facing balcony located off the common area with seating for two. NOTE: You will enter the apartment through an unfinished studio space that leads to the apartment. This space can be used to store large items, such as snowmobile gear during your stay, but is not part of the apartment. We are hoping to be able to offer it as event space in the future as the renovation is complete. 2023 Construction : There are a couple of areas in the apartment (drywall plumbing access holes and stairs) that we are still refinishing but nothing that affects the full usage of the space.
Wonderful stay in my hometown of Akeley, everything was comfortable. We loved the design of the exterior, very cool.
A gem. Holly's place is so quiet, cozy, and comfortable. She has gone above and beyond to make the space as welcoming as possible, and has added so many personal touches. She is also very friendly, helpful and responsive. One of my all-time favorite Airbnb stays!
The rental space was as described and things that stood out were the very generous check-in and check-out times and the ample parking.
I really enjoyed my stay with the grandchildren. I totally recommend your stay at the towers. Kathy N. Rathdrum, Idaho
This was the perfect location to meet my needs, the environment was very peaceful, and yet still private from the main house. I needed a place I work from during the day and still in between my family in Nevis and Walker making it easy to get to where I needed to go. This place is very neatly kept.
