This house and location was absolutely perfect for our group. The house was gorgeous and the patio on the beach was an amazing spot to watch the beautiful sunset. We hope to stay there again.

This is a great place to stay in Sooke! The location is ideal - close to Sooke Potholes, easy drive to town, on a beautiful strip of beach. We saw herons, seals, otters, and bald eagles from the back deck and hot tub, and could watch some spectacular full moon tides. The beach can be quite windy, great for kite flying, but bring an extra layer for cooler days. We had some lovely still mornings and evenings too. The house itself is thoughtfully prepared with everything we needed in terms of cooking, laundry, linen and towels. The bathrooms feel especially luxurious. Everything was spotlessly clean when we arrived, and we were greeted in person with a tour. As other reviews mention, there is a cottage on the property and a shared driveway - the house still feels very private, and the outdoor space is well laid out/separate. The Indian restaurant in town (India Delight) was recommended to us and was excellent - worth a visit! We really enjoyed our stay!

The house is beautiful. We were 3 adult couples. Only 2 bedrooms had queen/king size beds - the 3rd bedroom had 3 smaller beds. Each has it’s own ensuite. It was handy having one room on the main fl as our daughter had mobility issues and the stairs to go upstairs are long and steep. Getting a response from Stacey was slow. But the house manager Colleen was +++responsive and so helpful. When we found out there was no soap or shampoo she quickly purchased and brought us some. She told us about the local shopping which was very helpful. The location is great. One hour from Victoria and only a few minutes to Sooke for supplies. The view of the water is great. It was cool and at times windy in mid/late June so we didn’t get to sit out as much as we like but inside the house is a great big sectional so we were able to be together for drinks and party games. I thought the price was high but perhaps it’s what the local rental market costs these days.

Beautiful location. Views can not be beat. House was beautiful, but limited on things like Kleenex, shampoo and conditioner and kitchen items. There was also an ironing board, but no iron. The self grinding coffee pot hadn’t been cleaned out for ages, so became clogged, but managed to find a you tube video to fix that. Very nice, but a few extra touches would make it unbeatable. As per other reviews, there was a second cabin on the lot that is very close to the main house. The kitchen window looks right into a window for a room of that cabin. Parking is also quite tight, so if there were two vehicles and a vehicle for the other cabin, I am not sure how that would work. Beds were very comfy.
