Despite the photos showing a view from the window (streetview of Kane Place), the room I was assigned faced a building wall, about 10 feet away from the window, with nothing else visible unless you opened the window and looked out to either side. Upon move-in, co-host Harry denied that the room I moved into was different from the one in the photos. The next day, host Rani confirmed that the room was different. There was no way to move rooms within the apartment and I felt claustrophobic with the wall outside. Luckily, I was able to find a different accommodation and move out after two nights. On my first night, the advertised A/C wasn’t working, but Harry installed a new one the next day. The previous A/C was built into the wall and taped up with bright blue tape, which gives the room a very different feel than what you get from the listing photos. Additionally, the apartment is very close to the Long Island Railroad. Trains come through more than once an hour and it’s very loud.

Rani and her husband were really helpful and so cute. There is a lot of cooking staff in the kitchen. But there is train near the apartment and there is noise in the room and it’s hard to fall asleep. Also is dark in the room, because the window is very close to other building and you can’t even open it.

Rani was a very accommodating host who always checked in to make sure everything is ok. Good nightlife in the area and right by the subway. Very clean room. Would stay again!

Had overall good experience of staying here. Place is close to bus and subway station. Just a little bit of noise disturbance from train but manageable.
