Only a 5 minute walk from Rhoscolyn’s idyllic beach and 10-15 walk from the White Eagle pub. Ideal for couples and lovers of the outdoors. Whether it’s awe inspiring scenery, headland hikes, stargazing or being beside the seaside you like best, our little pod is the perfect base for an escape & exploring this side of Anglesey’s glorious coast & countryside. This cosy, bright, comfortable & functional cabin is located in the garden of our home in the picturesque coastal community of Rhoscolyn on Holy Island; smaller sister to the neighbouring island of Anglesey. It sleeps 2 in a full size double bed that easily switches to act as a sofa/living area when required. The Pod also features: - an ensuite WC/hot-water shower room - kitchen area (with fully functional sink & hob etc) + microwave, toaster, kettle & all kitchenware/crockery etc - tea, coffee & sugar etc. - wardrobe/storage space - heating - dedicated outdoor seating area - free on-site parking - nearby beach access (5mins walk!) - TV & DVD plus bluetooth speaker - Bed linen, towels & shower mat etc - loo-roll, washing-up liquid, cleaning products, cloths - complimentary miniature shower gel & shampoo/conditioner on arrival - hairdryer - books/games/DVDs - Torch However, for those staying longer, we suggest bringing extra supplies. NB Please remember to bring your own beach towels, rugs & picnic things. Sorry, we don’t currently allow dogs. Conveniently located only 5 minute’s walk away from Rhoscolyn’s main beach (Rhoscolyn Bay/Borth Wen) and less than 20 from Silver Bay, our place really is close to the coast! Indeed, a footpath directly opposite our entrance takes you directly down to the sand - or up & over the headland that separates Rhoscolyn Bay from Silver Bay! With virtually no light pollution and large open sky's, the decking area is a prime spot for stargazing on clear nights and being so close to the coast you can often hear the roar of the sea from the comfort of your bed or sitting out on the deck. Access to various other sections of Anglesey’s famous Coastal Path are just 5 minute’s walk from the doorstep too - and it’s only a short saunter from here to the local pub (The White Eagle, Rhoscolyn). The Pod really is a great starting off point for exploring the Rhoscolyn & Holy Island area on foot! The property is located in our garden, so do expect us to be around, but don't worry - the garden is VERY large so you'll have your down space, private decking area and use of the garden in front of the unit should you wish to use it. We’ll obviously keep out of your way as much as possible - but essentially we’ll be neighbours sharing the parking & garden areas. Being next door does mean we’ll be on hand to point you in the direction of nice walks and interesting things to do - as well as be able to deal quickly with any questions or queries regarding the accommodation that might arise. Furthermore, please be aware that my Dad is a crab & lobsterman - although nowadays this is only really during the warmer months - so may not always be around during the day. There is also a dog at our property - Pip, she's a soft natured, friendly Springer spaniel and whilst used to having people around she is quite a shy dog. For those looking for a little more adventure during your stay, we'd suggest checking out 'B-Active Rhoscolyn' website - these guys are family friends and less than 5mins walk away, they can offer coasteering & kayaking adventures, guided walks and lots more outdoor activities and sessions that you can book during your stay. Because the White Eagle pub is a popular Rhoscolyn & Anglesey destination, we'd suggest you book a table in advance - particularly at weekends and during school holiday times. It is a family and dog friendly friendly pub. It’s less than a 20 minute walk away from our place; whether you take the route across Rhoscolyn beach, head back through the county roads or take the footpath through fields that links the two - so you can even make it a circular pub walk! And its just 5 minute’s away by car if you don't fancy walking. Although easy to walk to both Rhoscolyn’s main beaches Borth Wen & Silver Bay - the headland & cliff-top walks between & beyond them are scattered with crags & coves ripe for exploration too - with sea & mountain views to die for! Being situated at the most southerly end of Holy Island, on clear days the Rhoscolyn area - especially from the headland areas - benefits from fabulous views across the water to Anglesey - and beyond to the Snowdonia mountain range on mainland Wales. ** We have a 2 night minimum stay as standard but please do contact us directly if you wish to discuss 1-night - it may be possible depending on availability.
