Zack and Lisa are very welcoming, helpful hosts! Instructions for check in are clear and precise, and check out procedures are simple and easy to follow. Home is well decorated and clean. Virtually every need is thought of in advance, kitchen is well stocked with cookware, plates, and utensils. Sauna, heat/AC, laundry on site, plenty of blankets and spare linens, and air purifiers are particularly great features. My friend and I want to come back with their dog, as this home is pup friendly and stocked with treats and blankets for your furry friend!

My dad, my dog, and I needed a space to stay on our visit up to Cal Poly Humboldt and Zach and Lisa's place was the perfect option! The location is ideal as it's just a 5-minute walk from the stunning Manila dunes and beaches. You're nestled in a private and secluded neighbor between the ocean and the bay and it's only a 5-minute drive into North to Arcata or South to Eureka. When we arrived, there were extra doggie bags and treats that shows how dog friendly the owners are. Additionally, there is an enclosed backyard with a table, BBQ, and string lights that is ideal for spending time outside with your furry friend(s). The house itself was well equipped with household items and we only needed to purchase groceries. The beds and couch were super comfortable and cozy. Each evening, my dad and I would curl up on the couch and watch a movie under the heater. This Air BnB was one of highlights of our stay in Humboldt and I would stay there again. :)

Good location from the beach. Quiet neighborhood. Downtown Eureka is not to far. When we arrived to the bungalow it smelled of mildew. The dryer had towels still there. Must have been there a while because they smelled of mildew. Took a shower and was drying off with the towels provided and they smelled of mildew. I had to throw all the towels in the wash. We slept in the room by the front door and the bedding smelled terrible. Stripped the bed and washed everything. I’m glad there was a washer and dryer. If there wasn’t I would have left. We were cooking a pizza and smelled like burnt asparagus opened the stove and sure enough that’s what it was. Oven not cleaned. When grabbing a knife to cut the pizza with the knife in the knife block had dried food on it. This all happened on our first night. It was very annoying and unsettling. Not happy about being charged a cleaning fee when I had to basically clean the place when I arrived.

Great spot! Peaceful and private. Very responsive and attentive hosts. Sauna was epic. Highly recommend
