Enjoy the cozy ambiance of our luxurious European style chalet. Located on the west end of Squaw Valley, with ski area views, you are only a quick minute from the ski area. Free shuttle service now available from your door to the lifts & restaurants. High end furnishings throughout. For summertime, we have adult sized cruiser bikes available by res. We have everything for your little ones: Pac-n-plays, high chairs, Dueter backpack, books, toys, games and more. The interior of this luxury home is very cozy and inviting, resembling chalets dotted throughout the Alps. The construction quality and materials are all very high end. All floors in the living areas are made from old recycled barn wood. Ceilings, beams, and rafters are also reclaimed wood from a Naval base building built in 1908 in the Bay Area. All appliances are high end for the discerning tenant; Liebherr refrigerator, Bosch dishwasher, and a Bertazzoni stove/oven in the kitchen, all Hans Grohe faucets and bath furnishings, and Sony 4K televisions in the living area and master bedroom. High end mattresses, towels and linens from Hotel Collection. Furniture is Restoration Hardware, Sundance, and various custom pieces. Heating is provided by the Vermont Castings gas fireplace and the central Minisplit system. All counter tops are granite. Parking is off the street, located off of the driveway. One car maximum is allowed. Although a three car garage is pictured below this home, no garage is available for any car. Master bedroom: Hotel Collection mattress/pillows/sheets on a Sundance bed. Down duvet. Closet and a chest of drawers for storage. Master bathroom has heated floors and walk in shower with beautiful Italian glass tiles on soft cut stone pebble floors. Second Bedroom: Has two twin beds with down duvets and an antique armoire. Living Area: 50" Sony 4K television and in wall surround speakers and sub woofer. Vermont Castings gas fireplace as another heat source. Savant app for iPad or iPhone controls tv/radio/pandora The Village at Squaw Valley is approximately one-two minutes away by car. You can walk to the Village in about 10-15 minutes. The bike path runs beside the main road in Squaw Valley, and has fantastic views of Squaw Valley Meadows and Squaw Creek. In The Village at Squaw Valley there are many shops and restaurants; wine bar, sushi bar, bistro, pizza and fine dining. You can take the Cable Car Tram up to High Camp for wonderful wild flower views, overlooking Lake Tahoe and great hiking.

Terrible experience. We arrived at 4pm to find no key in the lockbox. Called & texted both phone #'s and messaged through the app. Didn't hear back until nearly 8pm. Gave us a garage code & we were relieved, only to find out we still needed a key to get from the garage to the apartment. We called and texted and they were unresponsive again, and our family was stuck in the cold for hours. We were about to go find a hotel when we located a spare key in the garage, which the hosts said was us "snooping". We finally got in around 10:30pm without any help from the hosts. Later they miscommunicated with one another, not realizing they had given us permission to have two cars. One host called and demanded we leave the mountain to move a vehicle, which I did, missing 2 hours of enjoyment, before he realized the other host had given us permission. Now they are demanding $4k extra for "handprints" and crumbs on the floor, claiming our infant leaving crumbs left their house unrentable.
From the moment we first asked questions before booking to checking out, Alisa and Luca offered guidance, suggestions, and helpful advice. Download the “Mountaineer” app and after a short walk down the hill from their place, you’ll be picked up to get a free ride to the lifts. They went above and beyond to ensuring our trip was a success. Such a warm, friendly, and a truly kind couple. Would recommend their place to anyone!!
We had a wonderful stay at Alisa and Luca's home. In addition to the expected amenities - clean, efficient and comfortable - it was beautifully designed and topped off with a nice bottle of wine awaiting us. Would stay again in a flash. Maureen
Alisa and Luca and their family have an amazing place and are incredible hosts. Very friendly, helpful and accommodating during an epic storm with over 5' of snow in just a few days. They worked hard on keeping the property accessible and available during a difficult time. The relatively small space is beautiful and seemed new. It had everything we needed for a 5 day stay. It's a 1-mile walk to the village with a pretty steep walk back, but very safe in a friendly neighborhood. I even skied down to the village from the house :-) We highly recommend this property! We will be back.
We had such a wonderful time at Alisa and Luca’s Olympic Valley cottage and we are already plotting our next visit! The place was one of the best airbnb’s I’ve stayed at, the pictures don’t do it justice and Alisa and Luca were extremely communicative, helpful and friendly. They even left age appropriate toys in the cottage for our kids and helped them scope out the best sledding areas around the cottage.

The west end of Squaw Valley is the most coveted in the valley. It is where the original Squaw Valley homes were built. We are very close to the ski area, taking about a minute and a half by car. The home is west facing with great sun and ski area views. We back up to a Preserve where hiking and skiing can be enjoyed. We are only steps from Shirley Canyon and all it has to offer. Navajo Court is a steeper street that could require a 4-wheel drive/AWD vehicle during snow storms.
Public transportation can be found on the main road on your way to the ski area. The TART public bus system runs on a 20 minute schedule from Squaw Valley to Tahoe City, Truckee and to the Resort at Squaw Creek.

We have lived in Squaw Valley for many years. We have two children and two dogs. We love everything to do with the outdoors. Our extracurricular activities involve most sports that take place in our backyard, Lake Tahoe. When we do leave Lake Tahoe, we tend to travel to Italy where we both have family. Our goal as an Airbnb host is to make your stay as pleasurable as possible. We live next door so we are always here to help.
