Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. This 1969 Chris Craft House Boat has been newly renovated and located high in the trees at our quirky 6 acre mini farm. The House Boat is fully equipped with all your basic amenities for cooking or enjoying a cup of coffee! Located next to the Arabia Mountain Nature Reserve, a hidden treasure with miles of hiking trails. Relax around the fire pit, visit the goats, or go on a hike in nature. Enjoy this fun, glamping experience! Arabia Mountain Farm was established in 2020. It is still a work in progress but it is coming together. It is a quirky mini farm with chickens, goats, and glamping sites. The house boat comes equipped with modern necessities. We also provide coffee, tea, and items to make a breakfast. You also have access to your own fire pit with 2 chairs and a grill grate for cooking over the fire. It is a great combination of modern amenities and nature. The beauty of it is the Arabia Mountain Nature Reserve, in our "backyard". It is 4,000 acres of stunning landscape, many hiking trails for biking, walking, or running, some paved some natural. There is a lake that you can fish at, kayak or tub down the South River, or find a nice quiet corner with a book or some meditation. There is really something here for every outdoor lover. We strive to provide a fun, magical, and unique experience, our 5 star experience. It might not always be perfect. You are in nature; you are essentially camping with some “glamorous” aspects like climate control and electricity. However, the AC might leak (except it shouldn’t), the heater will not make it 70 degrees on a cold night, and there may be some bugs (hopefully not but we are in the woods of GA). If you let us know we of course will do what we can to make those issues disappear. We love hosting and we want our guests to love their stay. If you are looking for a swanky, posh perfect experience we might not be for you. If you are ok with a unique, beautiful, clean but a little rough around the edges, and friendly experience I think you will really enjoy it here.
The boat is a charming novelty, located in a cool, secluded spot in the woods. We stayed one night with our toddler, who was thrilled by the remaining boat controls. The description accurately notes that the boat is not luxurious; it has a musty smell upon entry and, due to its age, is quite dirty in some areas. The bathroom was decent with a good shower, but there were no instructions on operating the hot water tank. The LED lights (including the pictured blue shower) were either broken or disconnected. The curtains were almost useless as they let in too much light. The "breakfast" was practically nonexistent, consisting only of some bagged popcorn and peanut butter (without bread). The campsite area is rather shabby. The boat will likely need an overhaul soon if it’s to remain on Airbnb, especially given the price point. Despite these issues, we enjoyed our one-night stay, thanks to the good kitchen layout, hot showers, comfortable beds, and the pure novelty of the experience.
The quirky ol' boat docked smack dab in the middle of the forest provided a unique camping experience that we will not soon forget.
My son and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay! It is rough around the edges but the description is in front and accurate! PROS: Nice scenery, breakfast provided, comfortable bed, quiet neighborhood (depending on the surrounding guests potentially), Access to Arabia mountain from the camping parking, thoughtful wagons to carry your stuff to the boat, UNIQUE. CONS: tough terrain driving in- not easy with compact car, but doable. Door does not lock! We felt safe but a lock would have been better. LOTS of ants in kitchen (not complaining-the description stated bugs and it is in the woods). Limited plates/bowls/cooking utensils (not a big issue). Warning: bathroom, including shower, is very cramped (Not an issue for myself or my son) TIPS: Bring paper towels and firewood Would definitely stay here again!
The farm is near the City of Stonecrest, which has restaurants, grocery stores, etc. So even though you feel like you are in the country you also have necessities nearby

Nick and I have loved hosting on Airbnb for over 5 years now. We enjoy meeting other people and love creating a space that allows for others to be a part of our home and small community. We are currently in the process of going from 2 locations to 1 location. Our goal is to move everything out to the farm by the end of 2021. We love to travel and exploring new places, but also enjoy being home. We have 3 children that keep us busy too. I wear many hats - homeschooling mama, reiki master, death doula, and host. Nick works in the film industry and when he is not on set he is usually working on some project around the house. Come visit us, we love sharing our magical space!
