Scott's cabin was perfect for a long weekend getaway with friends! The lake was gorgeous and the was an absolute blast. The cabin itself was cute and had plenty of space. My only complaint was that the indoor fireplace was broken (Scott did call and let me know ahead of time so we were prepared) and being December it was a bit chilly. But everything else was great!

Lucy, the dog, loved this place! The trumpeter swans were amazing. Bald eagles, ducks, geese and did we mention the trumpeter swans??? Previous guests left some remnants. I would ask future guests to respect this serene and beautiful place.

So I will be matter of fact so future guests know what the actual expectation for their stay will be. Pros he communicates quickly, There is a good amount of sleeping room, the views are gorgeous, it was nice to be able to have our dogs off leash, the seclusion was nice. The cabin is a cool design. Cons first the hot tub was no longer able to be accessed and he told me my group can use the pontoon for no charge since there wasn’t a hot tub. When we arrived he never provided me the door code or the wifi password I had to ask, he didn’t tell me that the pontoon was broken I found out when we were already there and asking for a key. The lake lot is not one that is suitable for swimming. The window AC units and fans really do not cool it down in there and it was uncomfortably hot all weekend. The kitchen smelt of dead fish. The dishwasher didn’t work either. I recommend that host needs to work on his professionalism, transparency, and empathy when communicating with future guests.

This place was magical! Beautiful views and quiet secluded surroundings. Perfect place for my family to celebrate my moms 60th birthday. We were able to bring our dogs who maybe loved the large yard and seclusion more than we did ;) Scott was very responsive and was there is we needed anything. The lake was a little shallow so don’t expect to go diving into the lake. A lot of flys around the house so I would suggest bringing something to ward them off. I would bring your own shampoo and conditioner as there wasn’t a ton there but almost everything you would need is supplied! Would 100% recommend this place and hopefully will be back.
