Spacious, bright, vibrant, clean, comfortable, central yet peaceful beach house. Easy indoor/outdoor flow with sliding glass doors out of the main living room leading directly to a private beach, private dock and patio with hammocks in a shaded area, and an open sand area with direct access to calm, clean, safe, gorgeous salt water. Large kitchen and large dining and living room area, perfect for hosting groups and gatherings. Three spacious bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Large fully stocked kitchen. Southeast facing for gorgeous sunrises. Easily accessed by both boat and foot. Safe area with kind neighbors nearby. Feel the vibrancy of the island with an escape to a private oasis. Many updates have been made since initial posting! Most exciting update as of March 2024 is a (mini) pickleball court, the first and only in Bocas! Only slightly smaller than a regulation court, but just as fun! Located right on the ocean, the perfect activity to enjoy the Caribbean beauty while enjoying time spent with family and friends. We have 4 paddles and balls. The court surface is super smooth concrete, also great for exercising and other activities.

Great place and very clean! Own little beach and dock to be picked up from. We liked hiking the island and being able to walk to restaurants. Casa del Fuego is central to many things including the other islands and some amazing beaches. The water taxi drivers were all very accommodating. Definitely recommend!
My friends and I had an amazing stay at Casa del Fuego! We were given clear instructions on how to get to the airbnb, and the host met us at the property to show us around. We felt right at home, and would have stayed longer if we could! The house had all amenities you could want for cooking, laundry, relaxing, etc. The host also helped us set up some excursions while we were on the island - a great experience all around!
I can't say enough good things about this place. Its beautiful and in the perfect location. Peaceful and private but close to walkable restaursnts and a quick ride across the harbour to bocas town. What made it stand out even more was Ariel, the property manager. He made us feel so welcome and has the house so well set up. He also helped arrange airport transportation and hooked us up with an amazing guide for a private trip to some of the outer islands. Can't wait to come back.
Nous y retournerons sans hésiter ! C’est l’île la plus proche de Bocas ou vous avez de nombreux restaurants. Autrement directement sur l’île vous trouvez toutes les commodités a quelques minutes de marche (resto, supermarché…) La maison est grande, climatisée, avec l’eau chaude… une plage privée… un coin feu… que demandez de plus ! Des paddles board ou un bbq ? Ils sont aussi fournis !! Le rêve !
Had a wonderful stay at casa del fuego. The host Ariel was super helpful and very kind. Would definitely recommend this place!

Isla Carenero is Bocas del Toro’s smallest main island – just under 1 square kilometer – but it has the most to offer for tourists compared to its size. There are beautiful beaches and world-class waves, lively coral reefs, lush rainforest, palm trees, turquoise waters, and awesome places to both stay and eat.
Plus, everything on the island is accessible by a short walk or $1-$2 water taxi ride to Bocas town. If you’re looking to experience an authentic Caribbean island and jump right in on Bocas del Toro’s culture, then Isla Carenero is the perfect fit!
Casa del Fuego is located on its own private beach, but nearby to all the action of food, drink, surf and water activities. You can kayak, paddle board, snorkel and swim right off of the front dock. The Caranero walking path cuts through the back yard, giving the best access to the surf, hikes, explorative walks and runs, perfect for the active traveller.
The waves on Caranero range from a gorgeous, barreling, left point break, to a mellow, very beginner friendly break that is perfect for starting your surfing career. This island truly has the best variety of surf for all levels of your group. You can choose to walk from the house to the surf, or take a short boat ride right from our dock and jump out right into the line up.
The party exists on Carenero, but is just far enough away to not be bothered by the loud music of the parties in Bocas town and on Carenero. Easy access to participate if you would like, and great location to keep your peace if you would prefer that.
Isla Carenero is a car free island. We get around by boat and walking around here! True island paradise!
You can catch boats right from our private dock to go to any of the other islands, such as Bocas town, Solarte, and Bastimentos. You can also take boats to the surf. See below for estimated timing and price (per person).
