My wife and I did a short weekend break to get away and unwind,The location is perfect for this as it’s so peaceful and quiet,but only a short drive back down into Keswick for the shops and eating places.Its ideal for walking and being at the foot of Skiddaw you can walk it from the location,The weather made the weekend more enjoyable as the sun shone while we was there not something that happens a lot in the Lake District as you have to be prepared for all occasions normally, All in all I would recommend this to anyone and would we will definitely be returning.

We really enjoyed our stay in the cottage (our cottage was called Dodd) - perfect for the three of us. Very cosy and well presented. Converted farm buildings felt very much part of the wonderful setting. A very comfortable stay. Our son enjoyed playing in the games room and outside and we walked out to see the sunset and watch the lambs playing. We’ll be back. Would highly recommend hiking up Dodd which is a close drive - stunning views.

This was our first ever Airbnb holiday and I must say it was far better than we expected. We stayed in Dodd and it was great, very clean with everything and more than you need, a fully equipped kitchen with all the washing liquids/tablets for the washer, dishwasher, sink, hand washes, cling film, kitchen foil, tea towels, we even had a pint of milk left for us in the fridge and the most delightful home made fruit loaf that was devoured within minutes of us arriving! The shower room was modern and spotlessly clean and had towels, shower mat, loo rolls and hand wash etc, and the bedrooms had really comfy beds with lovely fresh smelling linen and they both had extension sockets for all your gadgets. Outside there is an enclosed garden with amazing views of Skiddaw and down to Braithwaite Lake with stunning sunsets in the evening. The host's, David and Jo are lovely and leave you to your own devices but are there if you need them. We had a fantastic holiday and we will be back very soon!

We had a fabulous few days at Dodd Cottage , beautiful surroundings , amazing views , peaceful and relaxing but perfect location for the amazing walks the lakes has to offer . Cottage itself was beautifully laid out , very clean and comfortable , with everything we could need for our stay . Really enjoyed my time here and would highly recomend to anyone staying in the area (car is needed) We went on lots of hikes with our 2 dogs in the day and spent peaceful evenings back at the cottage . We even had the pleasure of seeing the baby lambs on our last couple of days as they moved to a field right opposite the cottage. Breathtaking views while enjoying your morning coffee . If you are looking for a peaceful relaxing stay , to soak up the amazing views and all The lakes has to offer I highly reccomend David’s place .
