Gorgeous house. So much space and places for people to be. Very nice to have the lights on when we checked in. Mattresses are extremely firm, a bit too much for me. The kitchen doesn't have a couple basics, like a cheese grater or glass baking dishware or a large kitchen knife, so bring those kinds of things if you need. All in all, an amazing house to stay in.

The home was stately and iconic. We enjoyed our stay with family over the holidays. The rooms and bedrooms were very clean. The mattresses were extremely firm. We found essential utensils for cooking, making meals serving and cleaning. Our motto as a family is to leave things “as good as or better than” we found it. We would have appreciated more decorations for Christmas. The space would rent more easily with the following: 1- furniture that matches the era/elegance of the house. The dining table was too rough and rugged. 2- better lighting in some of the rooms. 3- bottom of the dishwasher did not seem to work. 4- The request to wash linens seemed inappropriate. Hotels do not require this since their cleaners take care of it to assure cleanliness before the next group. The cost of the rental is too much to make clean linens/ towels a condition for not refunding. Otherwise it was pleasant and a welcome family/group experience in a nice town. Thanks, Rochelle.

This is our second time staying at the Ripley house. We love how you can walk downtown to grab ice cream, food, or a beer at a local brewery. The four bedrooms plus the basement makes it easy to sleep a big crowd. And it’s a 10 min drive from a beautiful beach.

This historical house was absolutely beautiful! Something I cannot talk about enough! Walking through the home the first time felt like you were in a movie! Rochelle was so responsive and helpful when I had questions! She even provided a book on what to do in the area which was so helpful! All around a great experience and would happily stay here again!
