Very well equipped cottage. Had everything that we needed. Great selection of toys and books which kept the kids amused. Lovely and cosy with a fire. Very friendly host.

Unfortunately our trip was cut short due to unforeseen circumstances back at home. But we found the cottage lovely in a beautiful area. The cottage had everything we needed, phone signal was not great but wifi worked perfectly if you need contact with home. The area is very rural and quiet and perfect for a quiet relaxing getaway. Nicola was really friendly and helpful on arrival.

A cosy cottage with all you could ask from a country retreat. Cute and homely. Nicola was a friendly and helpful host. Fabulous walks on your doorstep and facilities of Stanhope 20 minute drive through AONB stunning moorland. I hope to return next time i visit Northumberland.

A peaceful cottage in a wonderful location. We enjoyed our visit even though we had very wet weather. Nicola is a very good hostess and was a great communicator. The autumn colours were superb and the cottage is well appointed. We definitely needed the wood burner though as we found the cottage quite cold. The central heating is storage heating which doesn't always provide warmth when needed however there were blankets and hot water bottles. Wonderful walks from the doorstep and it was lovely to listen to the nearby gurgling burn while falling asleep.

We had a great stay in Nicky's place. It has a great location for anyone wanting to get a peaceful getaway in the beautiful surrounding countryside which greets you straight out of the door. The place is spotless, fully equipped and everything is well organised. The log burning stove made for pleasant cosy evenings. I would highly recommend a stay here and would hope to return one day.
