We paid a premium for a month stay and found the accommodation quite dirty. Bathroom was pretty gross and to madecomfys credit they sent a cleaner out to address the dirty bathroom. rugs were also dirty as was carpet in spots but I kind of accept that. the fridge was not cold even after being put on the coldest setting. as a consequence milk and fruit and vegetables did not keep in the fridge. The main issue was we paid for the accom with wifi internet and this was never available. Madecomfy stated they'd address the issue and probably communicated 10 times that they were following it up but nobody ever came out in the four weeks to fix the problem. Twice madecomfy said they were sending someone out and both times were no shows. This was annoying because we cancelled appointments to be home for the repair person attending. Eventually we had to contact Airbnb directly as madecomfy failed to rectify the issue. this meant that were unable to work from home or access Netflix, etc for kids.

A stay more a “Jekyill & Hyde” scenario. We had stayed in this building in April 2022 so were thrilled to return. Superb location, train station minutes away, Ivanhoe village nearby and comfortable beds. Once settled in, an inspection made including taking photos of the oven (slightly cooking stained). Emailed to MadeComfy followed by another email advising of maintenance issues identified. On departure dishes stored, bed linen stripped (notwithstanding the $172 cleaning fee required). Shocked to receive an email same day claiming a “$400 fee for additional cleaning requirements” - for the oven/tray! An audacious attempt to bypass the failures of the cleaners considering the photos sent included date/time the photos were taken! The “outdoor” patio (inc. floor) was covered in dust and cobwebs and obviously not cleaned for some time. Used Airb&b overseas with glowing feedback and do not intend this incident to blemish our reputation. Waiting for Airbnb “resolutions” team for a response!
