The pictures don’t do justice to just how stunning this place is. It’s huge for 2 people and very well laid out. Even a hammock and indoor cold tub, which were both amazing to come home to from the heat. The views are absolutely incredible and Angela was a fantastic host! She’s very responsive, flexible, and helpful. It’s just off the main Zicatela strip so lots of stuff within walking distance, and a $4-5 taxi ride into Centro. You don’t get noise from the strip but as others have mentioned, there are a few clubs very nearby that play music all night long. We thought it’d just be weekends but there was EDM music from midnight to 8am on a Tues night. Even with the provided ear plugs, I don’t recommend it for light sleepers. Also probably not ideal for anyone with trouble walking or climbing hills & stairs. Otherwise it was fantastic. Thanks for a great stay, Angela!

Lovely place, probably the nicest Airbnb we stayed in. However it was so so loud at night. Some reviews mention it but it’s actually crazy the level of noise from the 3 clubs around the property. One night went on until 8am. Bring noise cancelling headphones!!

Firstly, I want to make sure others understand the noise situation. Even though other reviews mention the noise, they do not prepare you for how bad it is. it's bad! If you are looking for a peaceful beach getaway and you want to fall asleep to the sound of the waves, this place is not that nor is any other place in the area. The listing said quiet street and it is anything but that. I know this is not the hosts fault, but I wish I was better informed before booking. There are 3 clubs nearby and on Sat, Sun, and Monday they play club music with a base that shakes the house until 8am. On Tuesday there is no music. I can't speak to the pother nights but I've been told that Tuesday and Wednesday are the only quiet nights in Zicatela. As for the actual unit, it's beautiful! It's exactly as it looks in the photos, sparking clean, and so relaxing when there isn't noise. it's such a shame on the location as the place is amazing well thought out, and just impressively luxurious feeling.

READ THIS REVIEW: Angela Viorica was accommodating & communicative. We were in absolute awe of the place. Views are stunning & the open concept (seemed) like a dream. Previous reviews mention noise from clubs. We’re from NY, so we’re not strangers to loud noise. We expected it Mon but nothing prepared us for the wall shaking subwoofers pounding until 3am. The provided earplugs & our noise cancelling earphones didn’t help. Angela Viorica confirmed on Tues that clubs were closed & the rest of our time would be peaceful. Tues was worse - music blasted 10pm to 8am the next day. There are no noise ordinances in this area & clubs are open whenever they want, not just the weekend. Did not sleep at all & unfortunately had to move places. Angela Viorica was understanding & gave us a 1 night refund. We understand this isn’t her fault, but should be mentioned in the listing. It’s not a “relaxing place on a quiet street”, as described. Such a shame because the place is amazing, just in a bad area.

The apartment is lovely and has absolutely stunning views. It's a short walk to lots of nice restaurants and bars. Some previous reviews have mentioned noise from nearby bars and clubs, but it didn't bother us. The clubs with loud music are only open on Fridays and Saturdays, so if you're not staying on those days it shouldn't be a big issue. Ear plugs were provided in the Airbnb should they be needed. There were also a few bugs, which is the trade off to having so many open-air ocean views. However, there were not nearly as many as we thought there would be, which is a testament to how clean they keep it. Staying there was a wonderful experience we will really treasure.
