Mena · 整套小木屋 · 2室3床2.0卫 · 可住6人 · Home with Mountain View & near Talimena Scenic Dr
Our home is located near Queen Wilhelmina State Park, the Talimena National Scenic Byway & the Ouachita National Forest. There are beautiful views from the deck and you can see beautiful trees out of every window. Our cozy home is only 6 miles from the town of Mena known for many attractions including the Old Home Train Depot Museum (you can occasionally hear the train go by the house) & fantastic antique shops. You will find so many unique restaurants art galleries and shopping close by. We have an open concept with easy access from the fully stocked kitchen to the comfortable living room so cooking is easy to do while your family is in the living room. We have 2 reading nooks for some cozy alone time if you would like. We have two bedrooms with a pillow top queen bed in one room and two full size beds in the second very large bedroom. We also have two full bathrooms. Our deck wraps around half of the house with a great view of Rich Mountain right out the front door. Many outdoor chairs are provided so you can choose where you would like to enjoy the gorgeous trees and mountain views. You will definitely find the serenity of our home nestled in the midst of The Ouachita Mountains a place to relax and rejuvenate. Please note that there sometimes is road noise when a loud truck goes by but this is not often and is very typical of mountain roads in Arkansas. You can also occasionally hear the train but it also is not super loud. The house is off a two lane highway but there is a tree line hiding the road. Some mountain homes are very difficult to get to in Arkansas so this is the trade off. Easy access but still has beautiful Mountain Views.
From the moment we arrived, we were fascinated by the charm, cleanliness, and warmth of this inviting home. The house is perfectly located, balancing tranquility and easy access to trails. Our experience was nothing short of seamless, thanks to the thoughtful attention to detail from our host.
Felt like home! Had everything we needed and more. Very close to county roads to explore the forest if that’s your thing.
We stayed in the home 2 nights and observed the Monday April 8, 2024 Total Solar Eclipse from the yard. House was super clean. Location is very peaceful. Being in the mountains is lovely. I enjoy a freight train coming through and delighted when I heard the horns. One of the best parts of eclipse was as I walked afterward to the highway, a local delivery man had just restarted his truck and was continuing on with his duties. We acknowledged each other with a wave and we knew we had just seen something very special indeed. Go observe a Total Solar Eclipse if you ever have the chance.
Completely accurate description of the property. Clean, welcoming cabin with a lot of amenities. Friendly, accommodating, and responsive host. Minutes from Queen Wilhelmina Lodge, less than 15 minutes from Mena restaurants, about one mile from Black Fork trailhead. Fast reliable Internet (5g, 40Mbps download). Really good value.
Our home is amongst many of the mountains that are a part of The Ouachita Mountains. It’s is 6 miles outside of the town of Mena in a rural area. There are two homes near by but they are separated by a large wooden fence and are not visible from our home.
