自我介绍

When I walked through the doors of this home for the first time with the real estate agent I got that little tingle of excitement because immediately I imagined creating pretty spaces in a guesthouse for women. There was some rather ugly stuff going on (like cupboards built over windows) but as I am an interior designer and stylist I knew I could make it wonderful again and I had a vision straight up of what it could become. Within an hour of seeing it my offer went in and the purchase was so seamless that I knew moving to Toowoomba alone and creating a vision for the guesthouse was what I was meant to do. So I set about bringing life and beauty back into this old girl and began painting, wallpapering, and scouring op shops, furniture stores and FB Marketplace to buy interesting pieces of furniture and decor. Gee whizz it was hard work but I just had this feeling that women would love it. I knew women would love to stay somewhere cosy and welcoming rather than in a sterile motel room and I wanted them to feel like they were staying with a friend. I worked tirelessly on my own for a year to get it to the point where she was ready to open the doors to female travellers. There is so much I still want to do and I daydream all the time about what to do next and my guests have wanted to learn what was going to happen next. I love what I am creating and meeting such fabulous women and is a great motivator to make the Airbnb experience as great as I can for my guests. I also run workshops and retreats here which adds a lovely vibe to the place. Around the guesthouse, you'll find me planting in the garden or designing in my home studio or travelling to new and interesting places in Australia or across the globe. I am an explorer by nature and Air BNB experiences light my fire either as the host of my own property or guests of others.
