Pajaro Dunes is truly a gem of a place! Uncrowded stretches of beaches for miles and the sunset views… directly from Highclere…. are unparalleled. Carol was a gracious and attentive host and responded to all of our questions quickly. The home itself is spectacular- expert and gorgeous furnishings that make you feel like you walked into the pages of a Serena & Lily catalog. We had young children in our party and I probably wouldn’t recommend staying here with littles unless they are spectacularly behaved- my niece had just started crawling and that proved entertaining for us all! It isn’t that the house wasn’t amazing- it was SO amazing that you should stay here when you can enjoy every moment of it without worrying about what they might get in to!

This is really just an exceptional vacation home. Located in the first line of homes along the dunes facing the ocean, with unobstructed views of the beach and the water. Our experience matched the pictures - a well-cared for property with recently updated furnishings, well-stocked kitchen with new appliances, lots of linens/beach towels/blankets, a working fireplace with supplied firewood, and several places to gather inside and outside the house. Several small details, like the lighting, switches and door handles, that suggest the owners really put some thought and care into the home. And the windows - beautiful floor to ceiling windows throughout the house. A special thanks to Carol, who was a fantastic host - proactive, responsive and provided clear and detailed instructions. I especially appreciated the window cleaning before our visit! It really helped us make the most of that awesome view.

Absolutely beautiful property! The house was gorgeous, well decorated, and still felt homie. The view alone was worth every penny. We spent most of our time sitting on the chairs looking out to the ocean. They have everything you could need for the beach and it look less than 2 mins to walk down to the water. Would definitely come back and recommend!

This home is wonderful and exceeded our expectations. The views are spectacular and the decor was both beautiful and comfortable for our party of 8. It has everything you need, including pickle ball paddles! The house was very clean and recently renovated. Carol was responsive and helpful (thank you!). We can’t wait to come back!

This rental is outstanding and Carol was a wonderful and easy to work with host. The view and beach access alone is worth the trip and price, but the house itself is beautiful inside and out, too. We did some day trips to Monterey, Moss Landing, and Santa Cruz, but with the beautiful and usually empty beach just outside the door, it was hard to leave the rental. Highclere is a dream and we hope to be back soon!
