Thank you Madeline for letting us stay in this beautiful Airbnb! We came with a group of 8 and we were all very comfortable. Great spaces for cooking, dining, and lounging and we loved the hot tub and backyard setup! Everything was as described/photographed and we had such a great time. Thanks!

Madeline’s place was a great spot for a weekend getaway with friends. Close enough to nyc with all the listed amenities; hot tub, gas grill, fire pits, and a great kitchen and living room to dine in and play games. Madeline was super responsive and left clear instructions which made our check in and check out seamless. The only issue was that we had 8 people which, while enough space, definitely put a strain on the septic system causing the toilets to act up. This resulted in the septic tank overflowing in the front yard and creating an unpleasant odor. If you have a large group, make sure you coordinate bathroom time diligently. Aside from that, everything else was great!

We had a good weekend here! Saugerties is one of our favorite upstate towns and we love the bookshops and local wine store. The hot tub was perfect, and the home is nicely designed. We enjoyed cozy evenings in front of the fireplace (for future guests' information, we purchased wood at the Price Chopper grocery store in Saugerties) and the kitchen is well-equipped for an AirBnB. I'll note here because I'm always wondering about the coffee situation at AirBnBs: there is a pourover kettle but not a pourover filter, however there is also a large drip coffeemaker. A downside is the wet condition of the house, which had a faint mildewy smell. It was a rainy weekend so the sump pump in the basement was constantly on, and it made a loud noise which made it difficult to sleep. We didn't communicate with the hosts past the initial booking but everything was fine (or unavoidable on short notice, like the sump pump) so there was no need.

Madeline's home was well appointed, thoughtfully designed and very comfortable for our group of 3 couples and 2 dogs. We loved cooking as a group in the kitchen and lounging by the fire on the comfy couch. The large dining table was perfect for group games, chats and many bottles of wine. We loved our stay here - was a perfect weekend getaway. Only thing to note is that the house is on a major road - no issues with noise but if you go up with pets, something to consider!
