fortensia is superb. the property is enormous and spectacular. the house feels like home we had a wonderful 3 nights there with our 2 dogs and cannot tell you how relax we all are after the experience. the property is lovely to say the least. i can only imagine what it must be like as the seasons change and the foliage does also. our dogs are still asleep having returned home exhausted from the adventures. it is a definite a return trip for us. and definitely soon. thankyou for allowing us the privilege of enjoying this amazing space

We spent 3 nights at Hortensia this April & we had a lovely relaxing time! The house was well appointed, warm & cozy with a beautiful fire place & all essential amenities including a coffee machine and plenty of supplies! The house was surrounded by acres of beautiful gardens in the midst of lovely bushland & paddocks! This place was a perfect balance between privacy & relaxation and proximity to vibey towns like Trentham, Woodend & Daylesford! The pets loved it too! Laura, the host's daughter was extremely friendly & accommodating! All in all, we have nothing but positive things to say about Hortensia! Would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a country escapev & some R &R! We will definitely come back to stay!

Thoroughly enjoyed our time at this peaceful and beautiful place. Our dogs especially liked exploring the acres of garden and paddock and we felt relaxed that the property was safely fenced.for them. The house was cosy and comfortable and well provisioned particularly in the kitchen and bathroom. Our hosts were generous in their supply of good quality firewood for the wood heater which we very much enjoyed using on the chillier autumn nights.The property is well situated within easy driving distance to the cafes and shops of both Trentham and Daylesford. We look forward to returning perhaps in the warmer months where we could enjoy sitting out on the deck and taking in the beautiful views of the extensive gardens.
