We stayed for 5 weeks in awful weather in January/February during building work on our own house, but always felt that this was a comfortable home. Despite being attached to Pam's farmhouse we never heard a thing, yet we were within 500 yards of a filling station and shop at the top of the lane. The property was spacious for five when we had visitors for a few days, although one or two upright chairs to augment the sofas would have been good. Bathroom facilities were fine and the little kitchen area was perfectly adequate. the dining room doubled as an office, with good wifi. Pam and John went out of their way to make us welcome but did not intrude in any way. Thoroughly recommended.
If you are looking for a longer stay in the South Downs area, you can't go past Pam and John's. It feels like home, lots of walks and beautiful countryside.
As experienced Airbnb users this has to be the best place we have stayed at. The location is very peaceful being right out in the countryside. The house is extremely spacious and well laid out. The large bathroom was a particular joy to our teenage son. The patio is secluded and the garden very extensive. There was everything we needed and we immediately felt right at home. Being greeted by Pam and John and shown round was really welcoming. The prosecco in the fridge, the homemade muffins and jams together with a welcome card for our anniversary was a really special touch. The location is brilliant for exploring Sussex and the south coast however there were local walks easily accessible from the property. We walked to Lindfield cross country ( a round trip of 7 miles) and explored the village. There was a really good selection of places to eat as well. Certainly a place we plan to return to.
My family and I just loved the house and the surrounding gardens. We really enjoyed our stay and we’d love to return someday. Pamela and John were very kind and their homemade cupcakes and jams were delicious! The house was very neat and spacious. We especially loved the pink upstairs room and all the beds were very comfortable. 10/10 experience.
