Absolutely loved our stay at the Old Church! Very private and quiet. It is a great space for families to hang out without feeling on top of each other. The kids loved the plunge pool. We took our mountain bikes up and went to Duck Creek MTB Park and Uki MTB Park (approx 40 minutes drive from the Old Church) and also along the Northern Rivers Rail Trail along bridges and through tunnels (a nice family ride on a semi wet day). Easy driving distance to Mullumbimby, Byron, Nimbin and other little towns to explore those areas. Simon was a great host, who was very responsive. We would highly recommend staying at the Old Church!

Cannot think of a better place to spend Christmas. The most gorgeous old church in the best part of the world. Everything from the spa, to the kitchen, to the entertainment system gave us maybe the best time we’ve ever had in an Airbnb (and we’ve stayed in quite a few). Couldn’t give a higher recommendation for this home. Very grateful to have stayed here, hopefully we’ll be lucky enough to return in the near future.

staying at the Old Church at Goonengerry was a beautiful experience, it definitely added to our holiday away. it was decked out with beautiful interior decorating and every room was spotless and different. the greenery that surrounded the church was peaceful and the overall aesthetic was great. the plunge pool was nice on the hot days but also for a dip in the mornings. even though the place is quite far from main towns Simons home was an overall great experience that felt cozy and peaceful.
