Fun, rustic experience. Close to Amish country, it was one of my more interesting experiences. Lots of communication to tell us what we were in for. I definitely would stay again.

It's exactly as described: an old barn retrofitted with electricity and a deck. I was especially glad to arrive on my bike in the rain and to step into a dry space (no need to set up my tent in the rain). It's still worth the price, but note that it's right next to the road, so you will hear every car and truck that drives by. Thanks, Thomas, for providing this space!

Tom was so friendly and encouraging for us OTET riders. We were so grateful to have shelter (and not be in our tent) as it was a very rainy night! The microwave made it easy to heat up meals and warm water, and we appreciated his kindness for checking in on us after we arrived. It is a rustic barn close to the road… so be ready for some traffic noise…. But the ease of location made it the perfect location for us. Tom is 100% and has a passion for the Ohio to Erie trail that is infectious!

Staying in Thomas' barn was perfect for me on the OTET trail: simple and cheap. I met Thomas and he was very kind and helpful. If you don't have a problem with a rustic accomodation, it's great for your bike journey.
