Our beautiful traditional and simple Beach House will provide a total relaxation experience. Nestled in this wonderful little protected cove of PLATI GIALOS, 100ft from the beach will be your retreat to share and enjoy all that Sifnos has to offer. With ocean views, this tranquil 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom beach house is new, clean and simple with all the comforts you may need, and only 50 steps from the magnificent sand beach of Plati Gialos. You can be barefoot all day long, if you wish, and never step foot in a car! Two bedrooms on the main level share a long terrace and bathroom, while the two bedrooms on the lower level share a bathroom (stays a lot cooler than the main level if you prefer to sleep without air conditioning). The top level has the kitchen, dining area that seats 4, living room, and a bathroom, with a veranda overlooking the Aegean Sea on one side, and olive groves and terraced hills on the other. A washing machine is on the lower level and the fully equipped kitchen provides a large refrigerator/freezer, oven/stove top, kettle and espresso machine all top of the line quality. Air conditioning/heating units are in each bedroom, beds are Queen size and COCOMAT beds. The house sleeps 8 people very comfortably but the upstairs living area can feel tight if all 8 people are using it at the same time but the balcony makes up for it with a 10 people seating area. The interior space of the house is 107 square meters or 1150 square feet.

Nous avons passé une semaine idyllique dans la maison de Martha. La maison est très agréable, toute neuve et très bien équipée. (climatisation et ventilateur dans chaque pièce, appréciable en période de canicule). Elle est toute proche de la plage, des commerces et des restaurants. Martha et son mari sont vraiment très sympathiques et ils ont un vrai sens de l'accueil. Ils nous ont donné leurs bonnes adresses de restaurants que nous avons toutes validées. Sifnos est une île fantastique. Notre seul regret : il faisait vraiment trop chaud pour faire des randonnées. Nous y reviendrons à une période plus propice. Merci encore à Martha et à son mari.
Martha and her husband are lovely, gracious hosts. The house is in a perfect location and quite beautiful. Small kitchen, but fine for morning coffee/pastries from the nearby bakery (though not really for more than 4 people, as that is all that can sit at the table). The only issue we had was the showers. Be aware that they are very rustic — no enclosure of any kind, or even a wall attachment for the shower head; the entire bathroom (shower/toilet/sink are all just open with the drains in the floor, so to avoid soaking the entire bathroom you have to sort of crouch in the corner over the drain. I assume the toilet-level placement of the shower nozzle is so it acts as a bidet (the island’s plumbing can’t accommodate toilet paper being flushed), but it makes it difficult to actually shower/shave/etc.
This condo is in a great location! It is literally 20ish steps to the beach and to a string of great local restaurants. The space in clean, comfortable, and all of the essentials are covered. The host was responsive, and had great suggestions!
Awesome place in Platis Gialos. Well done, comfortable and in great proximity to everything there is to do.
Super accomodation at a super location: the beach is really 30m from the house, without any road to cross. Martha and Maki are also super hosts. Guidances may seem strict but they aren’t really indeed

Plati Gialos beach annually receives the European Union’s “Blue Flag” award given to the cleanest and safest coastal areas that protect the environment. Situated on the south side of the island, the surrounding hills of Plati Gialos break the prevailing northern summer winds, making it a sanctuary with calm waters on windy days. “Plati Gialos” means “wide seashore” in Greek and is considered one of the longer beaches of the Cyclades islands. Plati Gialos is one of the finest and sought after locations in Sifnos.
The beach is your backyard and you will find anything you may need.
There are many amenities in Plati Gialos: a wide array of quiet traditional and contemporary restaurants, coffee bars, seafood bars, mini food market, traditional bakery with cheese pies and custard pies, little shops for your beach or fashion needs, travel agent, pottery shops, beach chairs and umbrellas, water sports rentals on the beach, car rental agency, and sailing boat rentals at the marina and all this is just a short barefoot walk from the house.
There are many hiking trails starting at Plati Gialos, providing ancient footpath access to the rest of the island: the best way to see the island.
White-washed houses with traditional ceramic chimneys and small churches with blue domes, built on hills that lead to sandy beaches, this is Sifnos, the jewel of the Cyclades.
There is parking on the street a few meters away from the front door (but you can also drive right up on the pedestrian street to unload before you park.
There is a bus stop 100 meters from the house with regular buses to the main village of Apollonia and other destinations.
Radio taxis are readily available. Plati Gialos also has a car rental agency.
