Welcome to Cariad Cottage! Built in 1875 and decorated with treasured antiques, the cottage has all the old-world charm of small-town rural life but with modern amenities and a fully equipped kitchen. Located on a quiet tree-lined street, it’s a short walk into town with multiple restaurants, shops, and a grocery store. A perfect stay includes firing up the grill, having drinks in the screened-in porch, and enjoying the countless recreational opportunities in the area. Enjoy your coffee and the sunrise from the three-season room or the screened-in porch; nestle in for a nostalgic VHS tape or DVD; or get your work done in the study.

We loved our stay at Bronwyn’s darling cottage! I was actually surprised at how roomy yet cozy it was! Such a quiet, friendly neighborhood- we slept very well. There wasn’t one thing we felt was missing, so beautifully decorated and equipped!

We enjoyed our long weekend and found what we were seeking, a peaceful and clean old house with tons of character. We loved everything about our stay and would book again without hesitation. We appreciated that the bed was comfortable, the instructions for the house were easy, and the kitchen has everything one would need for most home cooks.
Cute place that really reflects the history of the home and the area.

The cottage is in a quiet neighborhood just a short walk from downtown Oregon. Grab a bite and a drink in town, go for a hike in one of three area state parks, paddle the scenic Rock River, or just enjoy some quiet time on the back porch of the cottage.
The cottage is within walking distance of downtown Oregon, but a vehicle is required for further travel. Please note: rideshare is NOT widely available in this area.
